I will 100% agree with you that communism, if it were actually possible to succeed, would basically create a utopian-type society where everyone lived, worked, and shared together with each person being equal to the next.

The issue is that with any societal system, there must be leaders. And in all examples of communism that have existed that I know of, the issue has been that those "leaders" take advantage of their positions to live in luxury and turn the rest of their society into poverty-stricken slaves.

I keep seeing people blasting "communism" on here but I wonder how many have actually read the Communist Manifesto (either in college or by their own accord) and truly know what it stands for.

I am not a communist because it seems obvious to me that it cannot be successful in the ways that Marx and Engles intended it to be when they wrote their manifesto in 1848.

I just wish people would take a second to educate themselves before hating something.
