Why FEMA posted a piece in his statement: "... During the test, viewers will hear a message indicating that “This is a test.” Although the National EAS Test may resemble the periodic, monthly EAS tests that most Americans are already familiar with, there will be some differences in what viewers will see and hear, which is one reason for conducting a national EAS test. The audio message will be the same for all EAS Participants; however, due to limitations in the EAS, the video test message scroll may not be the same or indicate that “This is a test.” This is due to the use of a “live” national code – the same code that would be used in an actual emergency. In addition, the background image that appears on video screens during an alert may indicate that “This is a test,” but in some instances there might not be an image at all...." ?

Arecibo telescope tracks ‘potentially dangerous’ asteroid within 1.5 million miles of Earth on April 19
ITHACA, N.Y. — A near-Earth asteroid named 2005 YU55 – on the list of potentially dangerous asteroids – was observed with the Arecibo Telescope’s planetary radar on April 19, 2010 when it was about 1.5 million miles from the Earth, which is about 6 times the distance to the moon, according to Michael Nolan, director of the Arecibo Observatory.

The Arecibo telescope is located in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, and it is managed by Cornell University on behalf of the National Science Foundation.

Arecibo radar imaging of 2005 YU55 at 25-ft resolution showed that this asteroid is about 400 meters (1,300 feet) in size – about a quarter-mile long – and about twice as large as previously estimated."

Near-Earth asteroid 2005 YU55 was "imaged" by the Arecibo Radar Telescope in Puerto Rico on April 19. Data collected during Arecibo's observation of 2005 YU55 allowed the Near-Earth Object Program Office at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory to refine the space rock's orbit, allowing scientists to rule out any possibility of an Earth impact for the next 100 years.

The space rock was about 2.3 million kilometers (1.5 million miles) from Earth at the time this image of the radar echo was generated. The ghostly image has a resolution of 7.5 meters (25 feet) per pixel. It reveals 2005 YU55 as a spherical object about 400 meters (1,300 feet) in size.

Not only can the radar provide data on an asteroid's dimensions, but also on its exact location in space. Using Arecibo's high-precision radar astrometry capability, scientists were able to reduce orbit uncertainties for YU55 by 50 percent."

Our sun(&solar system) is orbitting the galaxy at 136,000 miles per second(47 billion miles per year) while our earth is orbiting the sun at 60,000 miles per hour.

It's not a matter of if, but when our little blue dot either smashes with another object, gets hammered by a supernova or enters a black hole.

Yes, interesting these tests are on the 9th, not the 8th isn't it? The CPA to the Earth is around 6:30 pm EST on the 8th. Doesn't fit your conspiracy very well does it? CPA to the Moon is around 2:15 AM EST on the 9th. Another miss, just like all the ELEnin, Planet-X, Nibiru stuff.

Look at time 5:52 on this video and you can identify the STAR. On the other views starting on the 7th, the Star is right next to the Sun. You can just barely make out the dot in the 720p version.

That is if JPL is telling the whole truth! Who's to say the trajectory is not off by a day or two. Not saying that there will be any doom, but it's funny how a few different individuals such as you on this site, take everything the government says as CONCRETE.
