yes, its huge, the lucky ones would die in the impact or tsunami, the rest would die from the ash cloud, freeze, starve,or die of thirst.

its time to redefine "ELE" really, because a 400 m wide asteroid may not send out the way of the Dinosaur, however do you know how to grow, harvest, and preserve food as our ancestors did?

the sun won't break through the ash cloud for a year, the weather would change dramatically, volcanos would erupt, earthquakes would be constant.

It would make a 6 mile crater. Ruin somebody's day but not an ELE.

Hypothetically, if it DID hit Earth, if it hit somwhere in the Middle East, would it end our reliance on oil? Would it put an end to religious wars about who gets to inhabit the "Holy Land"? Could this be why Obama finally relented and is pulling troops out of that area?

Just wonderin...cool2

I read that it's the size of an aircraft carrier.

Some of it would burn up during reentry.

Doom cancelled due to lack of interest

Not whatsoever.

If it lands in the ocean (which it almost certainly would), it's unlikely it would ever be known.
