What is the diameter at which an asteroid takes on a spherical shape due to the isotropic force of gravity?

Would you believe greater than 400 kilometres for an icy object and bigger for a rocky object. Otherwise they tend to look like potatoes.

We now Asteroid 2005 YU-55 is spherical from the radar images but it is nowhere near that size it only has a diameter of 400 metres. (or does it! but that’s another thread for another doomer)

So what you say! Well that means that the object may be an artificial object and the TPTB are worried it will fire its retro rockets (or the equivalent Alien non Newtonian technology) at the last minute and steer itself into Earth.

They just don’t know so that’s why the test of the emergency system is scheduled.

It’s an annoying size not big enough to cause an ELE which we all know the only sound you’ll hear from the authorities will be the slamming of the bunker doors.

It’s just big enough to piss off a lot of people who will want a full enquiry into why their beach front condo got sea water on the Persian carpets.

Is it a warning to TPTB to disclose or else!
