WOW, I GOT BREAKING NEWS FOR ALL YOU. THIS ONE JUST MIGHT BE TRUE AND NO ONE EXPECTED. YU55 ASTEROID MAY HAVE CATAPAULTED AROUND THE MOON JUST LIKE THE APOLLO MISSIONS DID WHEN THEY USED THE INERTIA OF THE MOON TO GET THE ASTRONAUTS BACK TO EARTH WITHOUT CONSUMING FUEL. YU55 MAY HAVE DONE THE SAME THING !!!!!!!!!! IF SO, THEN IT WILL BE COMING BACK TO EARTH ON A DIRECT COLLISION COURSE TONIGHT/TOMORROW MORNING.
Quoting: BALLS TO THE 1299980 No, it didn't, Apollo's free return trajectory was due to a very carefully controlled orbit. 2005 YU55's orbit did not take it on such a trajectory around the moon, not even close. It doesn't even get nearly close enough to the moon to make such trajectory possible even by freely changing moon-relative elements like inclination and argument of perilune.
