I was under the assumption that YU55
was very close and those stars in
the background were light years away.
So can somebody please explain to
me why YU55 just passed behind
one of those stars ???

Top right to bottom left? What? How about West to east, OR North to South... or better yet, explain how does JPL calculate two days for this thing to pass the Earth, and it passes in two hours? Was this all a big fucking joke?

And to underline that point, the Earth should have rotated for all to see this with instrumentation, etc over 24 hours. So, with perfect clarity (for all intensive purposes), we got no saturation from the Sun or the Moon in this shot..

None of you can tell the difference between a 60 foot wide rock and a 1300 foot wide one from looking threw a telescope. None of you have the technical comprehension to figure out what you are looking at unless it kicked you in the face.
