Nope, they never had any technology. It was all a show to begin with. Haven't you ever seen those weird, fake ass equipment they used back in the day? It was all a bunch of blinking lights and incoherent screens. They had a studio with a radio. We've been played!

And the shuttle, that's just a hologram.

OK fine, the shuttle was real, but the rest was all blinking lights and flying toasters.

You are comparing delay-Doppler RADAR imaging of a 400 metre object more then a million kilometres away with visual light astronomy of objects hundreds of thousands of lightyears across as if somehow they are equals.
