This is due to the cheap lense. The vignette always stays the same position in shot when you pan around the moon. It is still a great looking shot though the colour does look nice. |

Please post it on GLP first.. Thanks..Bill Well I had a great session this evening and examined the Inland Seas on the Moon. The color was again spectacular and I went to all the major seas/mares and zoomed in to show you that there is depth and detail beneath the surface... I try to get out and video the moon every night the weather permits. I appreciate everyone's comments!!! |

Had it been in focus and the contrast tweaked this is what you would have seen: [link to imageshack.us] The blue color is similar to the Cerenkov effect which turns atmosphere blue when it comes in contact with radiation. The diameter of the structure is approximately 29 miles. Live your life with integrity; and without envy hate or greed. Express your love to your family every day. [link to youtu.be] Thanks for the video. I was about to go out and buy the lenses and the logitech camera, until I realized I also need a very expensive telescope, which I know nothing about. Great work! |

The diameter of the structure is approximately 29 miles. I went back at 22:00 and south and west of Aristarchus Crater it did look like some strange "construction zone" - lots of angled fissures. I also went back and looked in HD at the detail of some of the seas I could see some strange right angled structures beneath the surface and lights blinking far beneath the surface. This really has sparked me and I intend on trying to really look closely at those next session. Note I will also try to do a good closeup of Aristarchus... |
