Harriett Miers had property liens filed against her
Harriet Miers has no business being a Supreme Court judge.

"Miers´ troubles with tax liens
Supreme Court pick has had 10 placed on overgrown property she controls in Dallas
Tom Brune, Newsday

Sunday, October 16, 2005

Washington -- The year Harriet Miers began work as a senior presidential aide in the White House, the city of Dallas slapped three liens in three months on a property she controls in a low-income minority Dallas neighborhood, records show.

The city placed the liens in 2001 to force her to reimburse it for clearing the vacant lot of tall grass, weeds and debris after Miers failed to have the work done herself, as required by city law, and after she did not respond to city notices to maintain the property.

It was not the first time the city had to take action. Records show that since Miers assumed power of attorney for her ailing mother in 1995, the city has issued seven other liens on vacant lots that Miers controls in the same neighborhood around Tipton Park.

All 10 liens, totaling less than $2,000, have been paid, a city spokesman said.

But the failure of Miers, a former Dallas City Council member, to comply with city law, and her slow response in reimbursing the city, run counter to her image as a meticulous, detail-oriented attorney who is always well prepared. "

Ms. Miers has to know something about the Plame case. Someone else thinks so and wonders whether she has been asked about it.

Oh, oh...we must remember ~ there is an attorney/client situation here. No can talkee.

TPM Reader NT poses an interesting question. What did Harriet Miers know about the White House plan to bulldoze Joe Wilson and reveal his wife´s identity?

Even more interesting, what does she know about what the president knew?
...

Given her role at the White House at the time, Miers would seem uniquely placed to give some read on just what he knew and when he knew. Indeed, what she knew and when she knew it.

Has anyone asked her about this topic? Has she appeared before the Fitzgerald grand jury? Has she been asked whether she´s appeared before the Fitzgerald grand jury?

Ms. Mier´s attorney (along with Gonzalez´ attorney) smuggled out a file on John Roberts. It had something to do with a Civil Rights case and was being stored in the Reagan Library.

She´s a dirty girl.

I heard that they had to replace the carpets because there were little holes all over the place. Thats why they couldn´t rent them out.

Little love nest I bet.

anyone that can change as much as Harriet is capable of anything.

she must not be trusted to do the presidents bidding.

she is not a mole planted by bushco to help him and his buddies when their cases hit the supreme courts

she studied constitutional law by mail order and is therefore qualified to rule on constitutional matters. Corporate high jinks to bust unions are most assuredly excellent credits toward being a justice.

The ability to write a terrific "suck up" letter to the man your working for is of the utmost importance to being a Supreme Court Justice.

neocons rules of order say so.

What I see happening with this is the Democrats will approve her nomination and it will only take a handful of Republicans to seal our fate.

Hairy-yet is not what she seems to be.

yes why did the minority leader jump with delight at her recommendation. When he met with her and they showed it on TV it looked like they were on a "date" so to speak.

It was weird.

Something about her doesn´t smell right. Why did the minority leader endorse her so quickly.
