it can't really get any worse over there. they've mastered how to harness energy from the sun, but they forgot the need to know how to cool down nuclear fusion.  Not to detract from what you're saying, but it's fission, not fusion. If we could figure out nuclear fusion, we could have nuclear power without the waste that fission produces.
