I'n neither. I can't be for it 'cause I don't know what they are trying to accomplish or who is behind it. I don't know what the truth is, all I know is what the truth isn't...and that what is what the press says is the truth.

I'm also not against it. Even though I think it's a waste of time and energy, you have to let people be stupid up to the point they start damaging other people. If there is one thing that i've learned from watching the machinations of government, there are two things you just cannot legislate. Those two things are intelligence and morality and the OWS movement appears to blatently lacking in both. May they be equal in resolve and get the hell out of the street so productive people can have one less hassle to deal with.

I'm pro, because atleast they are doing something about it. We started our country so we all could have rights and opinions. And now the ones in power have all the say. They make people think they are voting for something but they aren't. We have no say and its time to fight back.

There should be a 3rd option. I don't know or I could give a flying fuck would suffice.

I'm all for anyone standing up to the unabated crimes of the bankers who have bought and sold the legislators of this once great country for too long.

At least OWS is doing *something* unlike you keyboard warriors who have no better retort than to call them hippies even though there is plenty of evidence that OWS consists of military, senior citizens, middle class, etc.

How can anyone support those worthless unemployed spoiled little assholes? They need to grow up nad move out of Mama's basement. Someone needs to tell them that flipping burgers is not beneath them. A job is a job. There are no entry level CEO jobs. A liberal arts degree is only good for toilet paper, so maybe they should lower their sights a little.

It is a divide-and-conquer thing.

Both sides have an ideal opportunity to unite, given that the 'enemy' is the same one, but it seems that we require to have two opposing sides with similar sentiments!...Guess that's why we have Right & Left then, can't be having them unite into a single entity, can we?

I support their right to protest. I disagree with their methods and general politics.

I was and I am pro when it comes to the idea which is behind it.
However, it seems to me that the movement has been hijacked.
A protest is good, but it has not to last for months. You do not solve anything with it.
At this moment, the whole protest looks more as an excuse for not having to work. And that is something I cannot be identified with...

The protesters were blocking a public sidewalk and told to move. They got what they deserved.

I think if they concentrated on expressing their goals and their main complaints they might have more support. I don't know many people who are in favor of taxpayer bailouts of banks and corporations, while the middle class decays away. I don't know of many people who are in favor of insiders on wall street and in the banking industry systematically bleeding the middle class of what they have produced and honestly earned, yet that is what the OWS movement is about.

The point is too many people are associating their movement with communism or socialism because they seem to be targeting the capitalist system, which they in fact are. Just because you're against murder does not neccessarilly mean you are for robbery or assault.... The question you have to ask yourselves is not just ,"is the capitalist system working", but 'can the capitalist system possibly work for you". The fact is, the more intelligent and hard working you are does not neccessarilly mean the more likely you are to succeed in such a system. There is another factor that comes into play that frequently personifies the 'winners' in the a capitalist system, and that is the ruthless conscious less robber baron.

If you want one guy to end up owning the planet, capitalism is your system because that's what it eventually leads to. If you're religious, that guy is the so called anti christ, and frankly we are moving rapidly toward that point. The people at the top view the majority of people on this planet as a herd to be managed and exploited, face it, it's the reality of the situation.

There is nothing wrong with rewarding hard work with the perks of a high standard of living, but there is something fundamentally wrong with a system that promotes the least honest and most ruthless and evil of men.

At this point in out technological development, we are now in a position to provide every single individual in the face of the planet with a comfortable, rewarding and productive existence, but so long as greed rules the day we will have what we have always had, suffering. There is absolutely no reason why every person on this planet could not and should not share in it's resources and be taken care of if they are in need of such assistance.

To be as blunt as possibly and to simplify it down to the least common denominator, there are people who find it untenable that we would all be equals under the law and under god, each judged by our merits other than those motivated by greed, ruthlessness or selfishness.

I don't care about the movement but I do believe they are pissed for a reason. Trillions in taxpayer money and not a single indictment for the fleecing of America? I know my family members didn't die for that shit. And they would be pissed to know that's what they died for (judging by what I've heard about them from family members that knew them). From what I understand they were pretty sharp guys and involved in some form of military intelligence. They had a good understanding of propaganda and how/why it's used; they would be appalled at the "support our troops" propaganda that politicians hide behind when the validity of military action is questioned. I'm sure they would be extremely pissed about laying down their lives for a great deal of horse-shit that gets carried out in the name of the American people.

But f' the OWSers. There are better, more constructive ways to get your point across and make progress than refusing to leave a park (seriously, how stoopid?).

While not being a fan of the OWS people, they fundamentally dislike the same things that I dislike.

They are being portrayed as unwashed and unemployed. I, on the other hand, am clean and employed. But I hate the banksters because they have devastated my prospective pension...not because they've removed my unemployment payment...Two sides, same coin

Which means only one thing seperates you from them at this point, and that is you have a job to go to. if you didn't you would be there with them.

I know my reason fro not protesting is I am too busy trying keep my head above water, with so many parasites trying to take a bite out of me.

You don't get to block the sidewalk even if you pay $100,000 a year.
