Re: Sixth Sense
If it's any consolation, I always smile when I see you on :) But you know I'm not looking for a Guru... and I don't think most of your fans are. We enjoy sharing intelligent discourse with you and pondering "what if?". I consider GLP part of my entertainment budget, entertainment to me being fun, intelligent, interesting, enlightening and social, lol :)

I still think its funny that people say I have 'fans'. So weird...

I don't want anyone to look at me like a guru, so its good that you say that. chuckle

I'm glad I can make you smile!

Fan is a weird word, ain't it... let's call it intellectual admirer, that sounds like a more concise description. You down?

I do not agree with the way he presents himself or his thread. I don't see anything 'bad' from him, but to say you know all secrets, and obviously don't, is disingenuous. And the ego thing...

But, he seems like a nice guy.

By tuning the system and artificially introducing more quantum uncertainty the researchers observed that the chain of atoms acts like a nanoscale guitar string. Dr. Radu Coldea from Oxford University, who is the principal author of the paper and drove the international project from its inception a decade ago until the present, explains: "Here the tension comes from the interaction between spins causing them to magnetically resonate. For these interactions we found a series (scale) of resonant notes: The first two notes show a perfect relationship with each other. Their frequencies (pitch) are in the ratio of 1.618…, which is the golden ratio famous from art and architecture." Radu Coldea is convinced that this is no coincidence. "It reflects a beautiful property of the quantum system - a hidden symmetry. Actually quite a special one called E8 by mathematicians, and this is its first observation in a material", he explains.

This resonates with truth. As do your threads.

Speaking of sixth sense...

I believe it is a remnant of a self-defense mechanism retained from our primitive and dangerous past.

Is it possible to measure the effects of human vibration or the zone of vibration around each of us?
If so, could 'sixth sense' not be attributed to the encroachment of a 'dissonant'(dangerous) vibration given off by a threat?

You know, that feeling that makes your skin crawl and hair stand on the back of your head?

Just a thought.

Thanks for all the great threads and your gracious demeanor.

Re: Sixth Sense
"An Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything"[1] is a physics preprint proposing a basis for a unified field theory, very often referred to as "E8 Theory,"[2] which attempts to describe all known fundamental interactions in physics and to stand as a possible theory of everything. The paper was posted to the physics arXiv by Antony Garrett Lisi on November 6, 2007, and was not submitted to a peer-reviewed scientific journal.[3] The title is a pun on the algebra used, the Lie algebra of the largest "simple," "exceptional" Lie group, E8. The paper's goal is to describe how the combined structure and dynamics of all gravitational and Standard Model particle fields, including fermions, are part of the E8 Lie algebra.[2] In the paper, Lisi states that all three generations of fermions do not directly embed in E8 with correct quantum numbers and spins, but that they might be described via a triality transformation, noting that the theory is incomplete and that a correct description of the relationship between triality and generations, if it exists, awaits a better understanding.

We have far more than 6 senses, look it up. So much truth is available, but nobody bothers to look. Schools brainwash you into believing their obviously false lies, and everyone accepts these lies without question. Why does nobody stop to think about whether something is really true?

Those aren't senses, they are conclusions you can reach based on input from your real senses.
Close your eyes, and walk a few steps. If you fall flat on your face pause for a second while I laugh very hard. If you do not, kindly tell me how you were able to do that with only senses of touch, smell, hearing, and taste. (Sight would be gone as you shut your eyes)

Not sure what you are getting at. I was being facetious because the poster acted like he was upset. Redirection.

As far as walking blind goes, I have a good friend who is a drummer, and blind. In a familiar setting he is able to move about with impunity unless there is an object out of place. I can do the same in my own house.

As a joke, I used to grab his arm and let him lead me to the bathroom on breaks. Occasionally a blind piano player would be subbing. During those opportunities we would form a train with the blind, leading the blind, leading me....
Got some funny looks which I then described to them to their great amusement.

I used to shift his ride cymbal stand slightly during a song and when he missed it he would laugh and call me bad things. Has a great sense of humor, in which some people are enormously deficient.

On a side note, those guys felt more titties by accident than most guys do on purpose..

hiya SS

What a fantastic surprise, all your work in one place. Wow.

I had no idea just how many threads you have..

Thank you SO much

By the way, i am watching Antarctica as best i can, seismically and especially for volcanic activity. Your Antarctica thread was the one i did search and find, so i could post a link to it on my Palmer Station thread.

I also found mister Oblivious's Antarctica thread, but i haven't read it yet

SS, you ROCK, brother, much love to you xxxx
