Hi.

The Shroud is a fake (neither Jesus nor Peter nor Obama's father was there). It's obviously a painting (a weird one, because it's a forgery, but yes, a painting). You can even see that the proportions of the body are typical of those depicted in Medieval art. It's not 100% realistic.

Plus, read those links.

As a Christian, it doesn't make or break my Faith one way or the other.

Even so, it lines up with the Sudarium too closely to dismiss as an outright fake.

The fact that the Shroud is a fake doesn't imply that Christianity is a fake, as well. A lot of people believe in Christ and in a pure doctrine, but are also against this kind of "material". This doesn't mean these are my beliefs, either. I'm just being fair. Shroud =/= Christianity.

However, please read the links. It just doesn't make sense.

dear one, the shroud itself is REAL. It was kept carefully over a long time and buried with the scrolls of Judas in the grave around 80+ years after the crucifixion, after the actual death of Jesus in Srinagar, Kashmir . He did NOt die on the cross, the resurrection story is a lie. He was in a coma, and he recovered from it. he went over time to India and you can see stories of that in my signature file.

The scrolls were unearthed in the 1960's along with the shroud.

Otherwise, your post doesn't make sense (if you don't explain).

It is not a MODERN fake at least.

"At least"? Like, it deserves more praise or less criticism just because it's not modern?

It's a fraud and this is what matters, since some people still want to consider it a true relic.

You're going down the wrong road.

The Shroud is REAL Who. Science doesn't know how the
image came about. It's been tested and tested.

I strongly believe in Jesus Christ but it is not only mine the opinion that the "Sacred Shroud" is representing in reality the face of Leonardo da Vinci. Try yourself in google images and search "da vinci sindone" or "da vinci shroud" to see the similarity of the two faces. Leonardo da Vinci died in the same area where the sacred shroud was found in about the same years (Leonardo died in 1519 in France and the sacred shroud was "saved" from the fire of the Sainte Chapelle du Saint Suaire near Lyon in 1532. Leonardo has lived some time in Lyon before die. Leonardo in the last years did experiments of impressions of images over canvas using sunlight and mirrors). I think the real Sacred Shroud is not the one exposed in Turin or it has been burned in the fire in 1532.

How Jesus' image was burned into that cloth, and how it has survived these 2000 years is nothing short of miraculous.

“He took it down (the body of Jesus), wrapped it in fine linen, and laid it in a tomb hewn out of the rock, in which no one had yet been buried.” Luke 23:53.

“He (Peter) stooped down, but could see nothing but the linen cloth.” Luke 24:12

“He (John) did not enter but bent down to peer in and saw the linen wrappings lying there.” John 20:5

The Shroud of Turin, or linen cloth, is mentioned in each of the Evangelists’ accounts of the death and burial of Jesus.

It is never mentioned again, which makes sense because the cloth’s importance was completely overshadowed by the surge of energy which brought the life of Our Savior back into His body.

But logic dictates, His followers did not just leave the cloth there on the ground, to be thrown away.

This was the cloth which held the body of Jesus.

However, I guess that we can only suppose if this theory is true.

You're so wrong.

First, you call that miraculous because YOU ASSUME this is not fake. If you assume this is a painting, it's not miraculous at all and you can find another explanation.

Moreover, the Bible doesn't mention the Shroud of Turin! The Gospels mention that Jesus was wrapped in a linen cloth (which was a common practice) and this is not proof of the Shroud of Turin being THAT shroud. Elementary logic.
