I can taste food in containers by touching the container with my fingers. The catch is that I can't have anything else in my hands when I'm doing it. The flavor goes up my hand, past the elbow, up the neck to the mouth and the nerves responsible for taste. It's a deeper sensation than just flavor though, like a spectrum analysis.

So if I can absorb the molecular personality of foods through my skin, which is an organ by the way, just imagine that other people can do it and don't know they are already doing it. Then think of all the stuff we roll in daily that makes up our senses.

Some kids in China have been known to read books through their armpits. It's less to do with the actual stuff on the paper and more to do with turning the book into a computer chip of sorts -- all there all at once. I think that even they access a time line or world line where they would have opened up the book and read it like everybody else. Also, they might be accessing a future time line where they said or did something to the approval of their spectators, hacking the future to get the facts.

These kids are just doing what comes naturally to humans. It took hundreds if not thousands of years to train humans to communicate through mediums other than thought from one to another. Currently this generation struggles with a silicon medium dependency, myself included. It is a safety measure when you consider how corrupted the human (and other kinds of beings) race has become. All this study, all these talents, and still, the kid has to have the book in front of him to understand what it is? I'll dare him to be able to read it while it is still on the shelf. Very convienient.
