Hm, thanks for reminding me about this. I watched a documentry on the 'origins and meaning' of the Statue of Liberty... and this thread and your post has been steadily bringing the memory to the forfront of my mind.

Wow. Thanks for the tremendous insight. Every word means something in the eternal word of God! Now I see. That's exactly right. The trap is the war with Iran! It's coming! Wow! This is another sign then! Wow! The war with Iran is another prophetic sign! Wow! On top of the earthquake and the rumor sign. The war with Iran is also another sign. Wow! Now I have to study to get more insight into whats coming. This has been an amazing blessing! Thank you Lord Jesus Christ! You get all the glory! I"ve gone back and forth many times between the USA and the Vatican because both are pretty much disgusting.

They both fit into the puzzle, I just don't know exactly how.

I even looked up the colors in greek one time, and it can be applied to the american flag, or.....the colors that the vatican uses in it's ceremonies. Red, white, blue/purple.

Revelation 18:7 "and cry out: "'Woe! Woe, O great city, dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!"

The greek word that was translated to purple in english is "porphýra". I researched it a while back and it also means deep blue.

Fine Linen is white, scarlet is red, and purple can mean blue or purple.

I think God puts one another together so that he can teach us all. I have got a good blessing from your writings. Also in Jeremiah "For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; THE DAUGHTER OF BABYLON is like a threshingfloor,
it is time to thresh her: yet a little while,
and the time of her harvest shall come. jeremiah 51:33

The moment God led me to the prophecy of Jeremiah 50-51 I was immediately convicted in my spirit that it was America. And this was when I was a babe in Christ. Over the years I have seen various arguments for different theories of the Vatican being mystery Babylon, but none hold a candle to the overwhelming evidence that identify America as being Babylon the great. When one studies the prophecy Line upon line, line upon line, precept upon precept, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little the only conclusion that one can come to is America. Everything that God says about Babylon is a spitting image of what we see today and know about America. The evidence for the vatican is weak IMO. A lot of the theories come from hundreds of years ago. Even before there was an America. Thus the traditions of men have blinded the minds of many people. But God says that at the end the prophecies would be understood CLEARLY! And I firmly believe that this is the end and that the prophecies are becoming clearer and clearer everyday!



What role the Vatican plays in the last days is still up for debate. But I don't see her being part of the fulfillment of the fall of Mystery Babylon.

"He showed me all of California and said, "This is Sodom and Gomorrah! All of this, in one day it will burn! It's sin has reached the Holy One." Then he took me to Las Vegas. ....Quite a bit of fascinating prophecy to be found in Jeremiah..."The prophet of DOOM"...How appropriate...If we back up a couple of chapters to Jer.49:35-39 We read a most stunning prophecy concerning "Elam"/in ancient text,the western most province of IRAN,V.35 "Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold,I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might". V.36 "And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation wither the outcasts of Elam shall not come." V.37 "For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger,saith the Lord; and I will send the sword after them, till I have cconsumed them: (REALLY CURIOUS)>>>...V.38 " And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king ant the princes, saith the Lord". V.39 "But it shall come to pass in the [LATTER DAYS], that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith the Lord."...Well... how do we properly discern this portion of scripture...?

Lisa, In my opinion the vatican does not fit this powerful nation. For example this nation has many cities
and I will kindle a fire IN HIS CITIES....
(Jeremiah 50:32).';

Vatican does not fit these scenarios in my opinion. I looked at the vatican a long time ago, when I first started researching it and it could not fullfill all the prophecies concerning it.

There is a difference between 'Mystery Babylon' and the City of Babylon that is destroyed in Revelation. Both will be destroyed of course. The idea that Mystery Babylon might be the USA is nothing new and can be debated indefinitely.

The USA will fall one day, of course, as we pull our support of Israel and the petrol-dollar collapses.

Mystery Babylon is commonly believed to be some kind of political and religious system which will be centered around Rome and the revived Roman Empire. In this theory it has not actually risen to power yet.

Babylon the City is in Iraq and it theorized to one day be the richest city in the world again, as it has been several times in the past. (Oil)

Well, if Dudeman and other modern day prophets are right, and if USA is babylon, we are going down in one day and many who didn't believe in the Bible might wake up and see it happen.

That kinda makes one a little uneasy when you live here.......

But, I believe it! I just wonder how much time we have left.

Funny, but I've been interested in this also lately, Bill Cooper, author of 'Behold a Pale Horse', has a lot of videos on Mystery Babylon on youtube. They are very enlightening. I think he has about 80% of it down. The 20% he's missing becomes apparent after listening to his broadcasts and realizing what we've rediscovered in the last 20 years or so (seed of satan, nephilim, etc.). lots of prophecy, from the prophet of doom as you stated. Those specific scriptures, I have not researched thoroughly enough to answer thoroughly. Elam is the western section of Iran in ancient text true, which puts it close to turkey which I believe later will be aligned with the nation of meshech and Tubal, Rosh and togormah, which some say are Turkey and some parts of Former Soviet Union, They will gather together to come down in battle in the valley of meggido where they shall be destroyed by God. But I will need to research this a little more thoroughly. Thanks for your imput.

Timing is one of those things that I am also looking into. So much is going on in the world. Social upheaval, rumors and threats of great wars, signs of economic upheaval and economic collapse. Now trying to figure the timing to these things, i believe will take much prayer, just my two cents worth. But we can see with all that is going on right now, it is surely some interesting and crazy times we are living in right now.

I have not listened to him before, i will check the link out. The only time I have heard of him was when Phen was giving a glp talk about him and I came in on the last little bit of it, but not enough to catch most of the subject matter.

Also, what's great about Cooper's interpretation is that he starts with Egypt and goes throughout history to the modern day to explain it.

I'm interested in ancestry and I found the tomb of one of my ancestors who was a knight for Henry VII. The tomb was ornate and in a Christian Church but was flanked by obelisks. Obelisks weren't resurrected by modern freemasonry. The knights took oaths to support the monarchy and the obelisks were symbolic of this, obviously.

Take a look at this stained glass window in the prayer room of the U.S. Capitol and tell me who George Washington is praying to.

It probably won't be long because Russia, I believe, is preparing to nuke the usa. China has already massed a whole army of troops right across the boarder, in mexico.

Russia and China will invade the USA, I'm sure of it, just don't know when.

Sir Isaac Newton, one of the most brilliant men who has ever lived (and a devout Christian) was very weary of preachers in his time predicting the end was near. So Newton, the inventor of calculus, sat down and studied the problem for no less than 30 years. In the end he settled on a date but he did not publish his findings. His notes were only discovered after his death and are today held under lock and key in Israel. You can learn more about it by watching 'Newton's Dark Secrets'. In the end, Newton predicted that the Battle of Armageddon could not take place any earlier than the year 2060 but that it could occur later than 2060.

Not too many men have lived who are smarter and more disciplined Biblical researchers than Newton.

Would this mean that whoever prays in that room is praying to the all-seeing eye that sits above that altar? I wonder if any unofficial services are held in that 'chapel.'

Wow, what a great lineage in your ancestry. Was not Cooper the guy that was on a naval submarine early in his career. I will watch this, I rememeber catching the last bit of the discussion in glp voice chat and I missed some good stuff.
