New Zealand 12/03/2011 03:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Remembering Iran Air Flight 655 - 290 Civillians Killed by US Missile Attack Iran Air Flight 655 (IR655) was a civilian jet airliner shot down by U.S. missiles on 3 July 1988, over the Strait of Hormuz, toward the end of the Iran–Iraq War. The aircraft, an Airbus A300B2-203 operated by Iran Air, was flying from Bandar Abbas, Iran, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, over Iran's territorial waters in the Persian Gulf on its usual flight path when it was destroyed by the U.S. Navy's guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes, killing all 290 passengers and crew aboard, including 65 children,[1] ranking it twelfth among the deadliest disasters in aviation history. It was the highest death toll of any aviation incident in the Indian Ocean and the highest death toll of any incident involving an Airbus A300 anywhere in the world. Vincennes entered into Iranian territorial waters after sending one of its helicopters to buzz Iranian speedboats located inside Iranian waters, and the helicopter drew warning fire from the speedboats. IR655 was within Iranian airspace at the time it was shot down. [ link to www.youtube.com] |

France 12/03/2011 03:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Remembering Iran Air Flight 655 - 290 Civillians Killed by US Missile Attack if nothing else this incident shows you the truly awesome and all pervading power a country has when it becomes a 'superpower' and the sole superpower to boot. truly something to be feared and to a lesser extent... respected. the USA got its nose up in the business of a bloody and dirty regional war and killed a fuckload of innocent people and the whole world was like, "hey, it ain't so bad, no biggie". that's serious clout, people. shocking.
I cant imagine being one of the thousands of people who lost a relative on that flight. it must be so confusing and impossible to come to terms with the futility of their loss and the bullshit politics behind its reasoning. |

There is a natural action to every reaction. Iran may not be able to do anything to USA for what they did. Indeed USA actually awarded the general who was in charge of the killings. With that said, natural energies will twist around USA in line with future events as it has been seen in the last 20 years. USA is falling in to abyss little by little from within and eventually will end up paying for all it has done throughout the world. It may not be an attack like they did to Iran ans elswhere but just take a look at how children in USa are being drugged up day after day. CAn you actually see US people healthy and florishing in 20 years time? |
