Butterball Turkey Plant Closing - 349 people are joining the ranks of the unemployed.

Butterball was always alot higher priced and lower quality than other brands. BTW if fuel prices fell the oil industry would lay off people. If grain prices fell farmers would lay off people.
The point is that the plant couldn't compete. Other plants are still running profitably with high grain and oil prices so it must not be that.

Normally, I would feel VERY sorry for those people being told that they are losing their jobs just before Christmas.

However, the place was full of muslims and they butchered the turkeys by "halal" method which means that they were consecrated to Allah as a sacrifice. Essentially that means that every Butterball turkey eaten at Thanksgiving this year had already been dedicated to the moon god instead of the One to Whom we THOUGHT we were giving thanks! The thread was presented here by, I believe, KOffEE and it was right around Thanksgiving, either just before or just afterward.

So, I'd say Karma bit you in the old gluteus maximus, right before the Christian holiday which you've been trying to outlaw. LOL!

Thanks I actually needed those docs. I just pointing out that the push for this is harder and harder every day and soon I would not doubt that it is illegal.

My husband's company (large private agribusiness firm) is going through reorganization right now, combining areas, and laying people off.

They plan to relocate cattle to near the Amazon because the large amount of water it takes for cattle farming..off goes butterball to a third world country..It aint nothing to load up a super frieghter and shipp it around the world

I know this for a fact. In most of the poultry processing plants in Arkansas that provided the native population with work ,during the Bush years imported all illegal workers, because they didn't want to adhere to workplace safety.
