Yep...rmn would be proud...
...the announcement moving the nfl game to friday night at 7 pm...but none of the sportsbooks have the network that will carry the game...
...astute forum -ers will detect the factions at work...technically contracts are binding but there is an out clause for "circumstances beyond our control"...
...astute readers also know there is about 150-300 million in net revenue for an nfl game playing to a single broadcast forum...(the networks must get over one million bucks a 30 second spot, right?)...i mean there are no other nfl games playing friday night...nothing again until sunday night...this is a night time audience we are talking about, prime time stuff...
...ok...so...who gets the broadcast rights?
who, is it FOX, or CBS (traditional sunday venues) or is it ABC (al michaels and don madden) or will NBC get it?
...I expect abc/espn to get it but the award winner is not announced yet? and time is getting short...less than 24 hours till game time?
will foxsportsnet get it to carry on affiliates nationwide...with some radio announcer?
...is everyone too scared of the hurricane to venture into miami right now...
...it is no longer a joke that when the authorities say "evacuate" who would stay? after neworleans...
...by the way, if your a betting man, take kansas city...at least they get to go home immediately after the game, and miami has to evaculate...who do you think would be happy to play and get the weekend off lounging around their "barbeque"...get it?
