Re: Iraq an economic Study
We picked up some Dong recently as well.

Purchase more dinar? How many millions does someone need?

In the beginning all we wanted was enough to pay off the mortgage. Then it was to upgrade the vehicles and purchase a nice RV.

Then came the idea to purchase another home near the relatives.

That was followed by wanting to purchase a home for each of the kids.

Next, was wanting enough to build a training center for practitioners of holistic health providing a site for free services for the community.

Then there was the idea to provide a factory to build home style aquaponics gardening kit/systems for families at a reasonable price so folks could grow their own organic food at home utilizing a small solar system to keep it operational.

Some of the folks are planning major philanthropy projects with their new wealth.

Now I wonder if we have enough for these ambitious projects but am in no rush to purchase more dinar.

What I really desire can't be purchased with money.
 Quoting: Alexander

That all depends on how secure you want your great-great-grandchildren to be, I suppose.

Aquaponics, huh? Love me some aquaponics, bro. rastabanan

Re: Iraq an economic Study
This was just emailed to me. More conflicting info yet interesting.

(PTR) mtngoat: Hello everyone, Just wanted to make a very quick post on what I am now hearing from my Iraq contacts.

All is excellent and they are going forward with the RV. If you remembered in my last post I stated we might have to wait from one day to 2-3 days after the announcement of chapter 7 on Thursday. Well I am now hearing this from all my sources, including ones in Iraq and ones here. Just what I heard. We have waited so long already a couple more days won't matter.

When the rate comes out it will be just over a dollar ($1.13 to $1.17) and 3-4 days later we will see a drastic change to over $4.00 (which will be the full RV). I am told then to expect a sharp climb over the next 30 days as everyone jumps on it for investment. It could climb as high as $9 to $13 dollars before they shut it down from the speculators. All those that doubted this investment will regret it so be careful.

If this is true with respect to the float then going into exchange a bit later might be a good idea. However, the Dong is fixed so anytime is good. The two rates that keep coming back via various other sources are $3.48 and .48 for the VND. Steve has been saying $3.48 for the past year so his rate is in alignment with the most recent info coming out today.

06/26/2013 Tomorrow .. Complete sovereignty
Attention heading towards screens Satellite seven in the evening
BAGHDAD - morning
Eager Iraqi government and people solutions to seven o'clock in the evening on Thursday a moment to vote on Iraq out of Chapter VII and the announcement of completion of Iraqi sovereignty.
Comes this التباشير after the recommendation of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon report to the Security Council, in which he said that Iraq had fulfilled all its international obligations.
Suggested politicians named today as "on the full sovereignty", following the launch of the designation "Sovereignty Day" on the day of exit of U.S. forces in the atheist and the thirtieth of December of the year 2011. praised Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Ali Mohsen Ismail vital role played by the Iraqi negotiator to remove Iraq from Chapter VII, which he considered an achievement nationally can be added to a series of achievements made after the year 2003.
And pointed out that the disposal of the prosecution of Iraqi funds, and fortify the assets of the country for Foreign Affairs, leading the gains that will be achieved thanks to leave that chapter.
Considered general secretary of the Council of Ministers during a meeting interview with "morning" Multi remove Iraq from Chapter VII as "essential task for the sovereignty of Iraq in the first place and where the great moral, especially that the country is trying to start a new phase requires a lot of flexibility and international relations and facilitate the movement of all economic trends, political and commercial.
Also reviewed the Minister of Science and Technology Previous Raed Fahmi said in an interview for" Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network, "the government's efforts to emerge from Chapter VII and imposed from the tutelage of an international Iraq, saying: he was a key objective for the Iraqi government since the evacuation of American troops.
Scheduled to vote on the UN Security Council Thursday on the decision to come out of Iraq from Chapter VII to Chapter VI., and there are inter differences between chapters (VII and VI), as the most prominent of these differences is that the first is mandatory, while the second is not more than a mere recommendations. and Atanon Chapter VII of the UN Charter, "while taking actions in cases of threats to peace, breaches and acts of aggression," as evidenced by this title that speaks of procedural steps Council may be taken to ensure the return of peace and security to areas of conflict.
While the title of Chapter VI is "in resolving disputes peacefully," This shows that Chapter VI regard to peaceful established to resolve disputes and issues relating to threaten peace. confirms Dr. Mohammed al-Haj Hammoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the past that effort a government big cradle out of the subject to the provisions of Chapter VII. explains Hammoud in a lecture him about (Iraq and Chapter VII of the UN Charter) seen by the "morning", said "the new regime in Iraq was keen to deal with the law of international the highest degree of responsibility, and showed his eagerness to express intentions and actions positive toward the United Nations resolutions and implemented in good faith.

Re: Iraq an economic Study
I'd like to add a bit on observations about kids who get too much too soon. This is based on our 17 year olds experience with the kids in the private schools here and on my own personal observations. Many of them are just egotistical brats and irritating. They tend to have an attitude of entitlement (as do many who have been on the government dole as a way of life). They generally end up using drugs and alcohol because it's cool and easily become addicted for life. In addition it's the sucky attitude that is not cool.

Yes, I want the kids to be okay. And given some have disabilities this is a good thing for the family. The good news is that the youngest has good values and is very frugal. This is not someone who likes to shop for entertainment. Instead time is spent writing and sometimes watching Kitchen Nightmares on youtube. We don't have a TV because what's on TV is crap.

For us it makes retirement a reality... sooner then later. Otherwise we might have ended up like Kissinger and work into our 80s. Seriously. It would be nice to travel and visit family - everywhere. It would be nice to be in an RV and visit all of the National Parks in the US before they're all owed by China. It would be nice to have a place outside of Nazi Amerika because the current government is what disturbs me the most. Uruguay and Ecuador look good - although the Cayman Islands and Bahamas look like fun. Or we just may end up staying put. At least there are options that are fun to consider and some freedom to help the family along with helping make a difference for others.

Hey, check this out...

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - According to the parliamentary economic committee, on Wednesday, to remove Iraq from Chapter VII and entry in Chapter VI will create greater freedom for the Iraqi banking sector to deal with international companies and banks.

A member of the Committee, Abdul Abbas Xiaa the (IMN) that "Iraq out of Chapter VII, will give him greater freedom for the Iraqi banks to open accounts and global banking transactions more spacious."

And added Xiaa, "The international banks will have an extensive presence within the Iraqi banking sector through a partnership with Iraqi banks."

He explained that "the banking deal will be much easier after the withdrawal of Iraq from Chapter VII."

And looking forward to the Member States in the Security Council on Thursday to listen to the report of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and vote on Iraq out of Chapter VII, which lasted more than 23 years, have limited its role regionally and globally.

No doubt in my mind Iraq will enter IMF Article VIII soon. The question 'remains at what rate?

Revbo:
I did some research on non-convertible currencies yesterday, and although my research is far from exhaustive, I noticed a pattern. There are something like 20 "non-convertible" currencies in the world. Every one of them, with the exception of one, is non-convertible because its government says it is. Guess which one is the exception.

That said, of course my hour or so of research doesn't prove that Chapter 7 is the key to freeing the dinar internationally, but as far as I can tell, the Iraqi government doesn't have a problem with the dinar being convertible, as they allow billions of them to be converted to dollars six days a week, so what else is there that could be keeping it in its internal scrip status other than international sanctions?

SteveI just moved his PeoplesDinar site to a POST-RV Site........ still thinks the rate is 3.46 +or- a few cents.

[SteveI] I talked to Ray earlier today, and during his converstaion with his client in Iraq, it was on the TV screen. They are telling the citizens that they will revalue their currency. This goes along with several reports of other news guys.I totally agree and support that news. We are there. FYI, Chase BANK is ready so I know we are close.

Email from Adam Montana from this morning, and the accompanying thread at DV:

Did you hear? There is a HUGE chance that tomorrow
is our last day on this ride... how exciting is THAT?!

Here's the info: [link to iqd.me]

Warmest RV regards... GOOO RRRRRVVVVV!!!!!!!!

StrykerBlog for 6-26:

Well people we are down to one day until we see if the UN votes to remove all the sanctions from Iraq under the Charter of Chapter VII and into a Chapter VI arrangement. A friend ask me a few days ago if I was nervous over all this and what happens if Iraq gets removed and we still don't see the RV? I told him, sure I was because this to me is the single biggest trigger point that all my years of research has point me too!

The big question remains, how long will it take to hear the results of the vote tomorrow? According to an articles today Iraq is planning on shooting off fireworks tomorrow night in Baghdad to celebrate the event. The article stated that the Baghdad Municipality has completed all preparations and provided all the requirements to celebrate the completion after the UN Security Council finalizes the voting process.

Article: [link to stryker10.forumchitchat.com]

It sure seems that they already know that they will be released tomorrow or they would not have gone through this much trouble and effort until they did. My guess is we will know tomorrow as well and let's hope my theory is correct and this will propel Iraq right into the international economy by July 1st.

Can it take longer then July 1st to see the currency reform, sure but remember that the CBI and the GOI said that they were ready as soon as the time was right and all they needed was stability. Chapter VI gives them that stability and that comes from many articles and news briefs from the GOI and the CBI.

Like I told my buddy Trac, nothing is for sure but with all the news of the Citi Bank fellow showing up in Maliki's office on Monday, all the Iraq re-entry articles back into the World and International Economy. The news about the oil and gas royalties being agreed on by the Kurds and GOI and all the proof that has come out that all the blocs are in total agreement on passage of all the laws, one can't but get a little excited that we are about to see this Historical Event through after all these years.

The time of the UN WEB TV Broadcast seems to be at 11:00 AM EST in New York according to news posted my our member RSS last night.

Article: [link to stryker10.forumchitchat.com]

To view it go to [link to www.webtv.un.org] tomorrow, you can bet that we will be there to keep all of us up to date.

Have a great day,

Re: Iraq an economic Study
tlar on the above article re: Ch7 and greater freedom to Iraqi banks...

The news on Iraq's exit from VII is great news. I never thought that the international community would release them until they RV'd the currency. Kind of a hold card on Iraq. It looks now that I was wrong and it may have just been the opposite of what I have believed for the last 5 years. The hold up on the currency, if you discount accumulations from Syria and Iran, might have been Chapter VII all along. There is too much activity and preparations that seem to be being made in the banking arena to connect Iraqi banks to the global economy.

I agree with you Kap. I think the currency will move from Article XIV to an Article VIII currency in short order maybe as early as July. If Shabibi felt currency was ready to go last year at 1 to 1, then they must be more than ready this year having retired trillions more of the dinar and having almost totally dollarized Iraq. Articles stating that they might go to 1000 to 1 then drop the zeros, or free float from 1166 or more, are all an exercise in mental gymnastics because the truth is Iraq does not need to go through steps to get there. They could just remove 1165 pips and be at 1 to 1 overnight. With the amount of dollarization that we have seen since last year and the amount of Iraqi's using the dollar, this would not be to much of a leap of faith to tell the Iraqi's that the dinar and the dollar are interchangeable. The average Iraqi is conditioned to use the dollar and understands its value totally. This in fact might be the easiest thing for Iraq to do than some complicated series of calculations and steps..

July, the Finance Committee last year said that July of this year 2013 they would support the dropping of the zeros. July is a new fiscal quarter. July is the first month to follow the release from Chapter VII if Iraq is released and truly becomes sovereign. If the CBI accepts sales of the independent banks at 1183 to the US dollar as the street rate, July will show the rates back in equilibrium. July is shaping up to be a very interesting month. I said last year that we may see this in July. I stand by that.

Re: Iraq an economic Study
They were the hottest dinar dealer back then. The Feds got them for some reason. However, they said on their site they were registered with Treasury.

I can't find any sign of SCGS on line anymore. POOF!

Re: Iraq an economic Study
6-26-2013 Intel Guru SteveI We are being told by the media in Iraq that they will revalue their currency within 1 to 2 day after the lifting of Chapter 7. I think it may be sooner. I have never felt so good about this until now. I talked to [Guru] Ray…and during his conversation with his client in Iraq, it was on the TV screen. They are telling the citizens that they will revalue their currency… they are telling the citizens to prepare for a celebration. This goes along with several reports of other news guys. I say look for a rate anytime from now to the end of the month. [are we still in the 3.46 range?] yes, plus or minus a few cents. Guys, we are finally there!!!!

Re: Iraq an economic Study
opps.. I did some more searching and found this site. It looks like the company had a blog. [link to scgsus.blogspot.com]

I would see if the links for the 3 members work, but I don't have a twitter account. Anybody up in helping me get the bottom of this? Who and where are they?

I know they had an office in LA, Ca as I called it a bunch of times.

Re: Iraq an economic Study
[Jester] WE HAVE THE CHAPTER 7 RELEASE ON THURSDAY AT 11 AM… THIS IS PRETTY MUCH A GIVEN BASED ON WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE $11 BILLION BEING PAID OFF YESTERDAY AND EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE NEWS WE CAN SEE… SO LETS CONTINUE WITH THE SCENARIO BASED ON CHAPTER 7 IS RELEASED THURSDAY…

WE HAVE BEEN HEARING THAT THERE WILL BE ANNOUNCEMENTS IN IRAQ AFTER PRAYERS THURSDAY NIGHT… THAT THEY WILL BE ANNOUNCING THEY ARE OUT OF CHAPTER 7 AND WILL HAVE THE INTERNATIONALLY TRADED CURRENCY AND RETURNING TO THEIR FORMER PLACE IN THE WORLD AND EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL… THIS IS A GOOD THING…

WE KNOW THEIR STOCK EXCHANGE WILL CLOSE ON THURSDAY NIGHT… SO THIS TIMING WORKS FINE…. THEY SHUT DOWN AT THE REGULAR TIME ON THURSDAY AND THEY HAVE 2 DAYS TO MAKE THE CHANGES NEEDED IN THE SYSTEM TO COME BACK UP ON SUNDAY ALL READY TO GO…

SO SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THURSDAY AND SATURDAY IN THIS SCENARIO THERE INDICATES THE TIMING OF THE RV. KEEP IN MIND I AM STILL BASING THIS ON COMPLETION OF THE CHAPTER 7 ON THURSDAY…

THE RV IS PART OF THE GLOBAL RESET... THE GLOBAL RESET OF 192 COUNTRIES WILL SHOW UP ON THE FOREX TO KICK OFF THE RESET AND THE START OF THE NEW SYSTEM… NEW CODES WILL SHOW IN THE SYSTEM AS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED… AND WE ALSO REPORTED BEFORE WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY NEVER DO ANYTHING MAJOR IN THE FOREX EXCEPT DURING THE SATURDAY DOWNTIME WHEN ALL BANKS ARE CLOSED… SO THAT SEEMS TO BE THE BEST TIME TO EXPECT THAT TO HAPPEN… CODES LOAD SATURDAY NIGHT AND SHOW UP FOR BANKING IN THE FAR EAST MONDAY MORNING AND HERE SUNDAY NIGHT FOR USE ALSO ON MONDAY MORNING… AND EVERYTHING IS LOVELY THERE… NEW SYSTEM… NEW CURRENCIES… COOL…

THE RV SHOWING IS A DIFFERENT MATTER… THE ACTUAL RV TIME IS THE QUESTION… WHAT MAKES SENSE… SOME PEOPLE OUT THERE SAYING BEFORE RV….AND OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE SAYING ANYTIME WITHIN 1-2 DAYS AFTER CHAPTER 7… WHAT MAKES THE MOST SENSE. I AM BASING THIS SOLELY ON THE ASSUMPTION THAT SOMETIME BETWEEN THURSDAY AND SATURDAY IT WILL LINE UP WITH THE GLOBAL RESET AND BE TAKEN ALONG WITH IT AND HAPPEN.

OR HECK… THEY COULD RV ON THURSDAY IN COUNTRY AND WE DON’T SEE IT UNTIL THE WEEKEND WHEN THE FOREX TURNS BACK ON… I AM NOT GOING TO WORRY ABOUT IT… WE HAVE A DATE RANGE AT THIS POINT WHO CARES WHAT THE ACTUAL DETAILS ARE…
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.
