Jesus, Jeremiah, and Moses were all hated for telling the truth, yet about 1/4 of the world's population is supposedly Christian? | |

Any Christian see anything wrong with this picture? Since when did humans become less sinful than when Christ walked the earth? Since when has the narrow road no longer been the road that only few would find? The Bible says Christians must be hated by the world for telling people the truth and exposing them for being evil. Anyone who the world likes is an enemy of God and not a Christian. Quoting: Philemon Christ said that if you do not bear your cross and follow him, you cannot be his disciple. Do Christians even know what a cross is or how they can get one? Do they not understand that they cannot go to heaven if they do not bear a cross? Bearing a cross does not mean telling your enemy that God loves them while they put you on a literal cross. Do you seriously believe that Jesus was killed because he was always telling his accusers how much God loved them? Jesus was killed because he told people the truth. Most people hate to be told the truth, like vampires hate to be exposed to the light. So unless you repent, you will perish. Amen. |

It is the sufferings of Christ. MATTHEW 10 22 And ye shall be HATED of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. MATTHEW 24 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be HATED of all nations for my name's sake. MARK 13 13 And ye shall be HATED of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. LUKE 21 17 And ye shall be HATED of all men for my name's sake. JOHN 15 18 If the world hate you, ye know that it HATED me before it HATED you. 19 If ye were of THE WORLD, THE WORLD would love his own: but because ye are not of THE WORLD, but I have chosen you out of THE WORLD, therefore THE WORLD hateth you. |

Jeremiah is someone I get. He was hated and he had essentially no human support for his undertakings. He wasn't in a tight knit social group at his local church. He wasn't plugged in to a mainstream religious community. He was liked by no one on this planet at all. Still, he did what God told him to all by himself alone. There is nothing wrong with being involved in your church so long as the cliques don't lead you astray from God's plan for your life. So long as they don't become a replacement for your relationship with him. So long as you don't end up faking your belief to fit in to their group. Jeremiah stood alone as a mere mortal. Even Moses had friends and family for support. Jeremiah was instructed by God to never marry nor have children. His only support on this planet was God. |

There are very few true Christians. Christianity really is not about rules, doctrine or theology. Christians are imitators of Jesus. It is about LOVE. The Bible is a love story. And I am the object of God's incredible Love....even to the point of laying down your own life. Jesus told the woman that the religous men wanted to stone (what about the guy???) Let anyone without sin cast the first stone...none threw, he told her her acusers were gone and He would not accuser her and to go and sin no more. These so-called, holier than thou, "christians" who "feel" better about themselves instead of following Jesus and loving rather than judging. OOps, there I go judging the judgers. Please Lord forgive me, they know not what they do. May I treat others with the same love and grace you, my Lord have extended to me. There I go but for your incredible grace, Thank you Lord. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6905795 The problem is that Christians aren't imitators of Christ. If you wanted to see the true imitators of Christ you would have to look towards the J.ws. Your Jesus pointed towards the Laws and the Prophets, not Saul and Lawlessness. |
