"Well, like I said, it doesn't matter one iota what you believe. We'll watch as fires and explosions spread, transformers blow, sewers and manhole covers explode, animals die off in droves, families die where they sit in their homes, corpses are found near low-lying places everwhere. All of this is already happening, but there will be simply MORE of it, escalating as time goes on."

Wow, manhole covers blowing off - that never happens. I mean, finding methane gas is a god damn sewer, what are the odds!

You are either hopeless or mentally ill.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7767898

That's some stupid logic, often seen used by those people call 'shills'. H2S is heavier than air. Where do you THINK it's going to settle? And as I said, it's in the patterns that the truth is revealed. Sure, manhole covers explode. Do they often explode all over the place, from LA to NYC, in a short period of time? Check the historical records. I did. This is unusual. In fact, ALL things that you'd expect to spike during an H2S event ARE spiking. Check for yourself.

"H2S is heavier than air. Where do you THINK it's going to settle?"

In the digestive tracts of organisms that will convert it into elemental sulfur.

"Sure, manhole covers explode. Do they often explode all over the place, from LA to NYC, in a short period of time?"

No idea, I haven't studied man-hole exploding.

I have studied statistics though and can tell you that things can and do occur in "bursts" but they don't actually mean anything in the longer trend.

I would not be surprised if there were localized increases for some reason like increased population levels (more feces) that overwhelms the current infrastructure.

Another thing to consider is toilet regulations. My god? Am I crazy? How is that related? Simple. Low-flow toilets don't use enough water, and in places like San Francisco the feces isn't diluted enough and is a thicker sludge that backs up the sewer system.

Back up the sewer system like that and you'll get more methane explosions.

Wow, I debunked yet ANOTHER one of your BS claims with a better explanation. Odd how I keep doing that isn't it?

Of course I debunked it. I showed you a better explanation for methane gas build up in some sewers.

I showed you better explanations for anoxic conditions in the ocean.

A better explanation for animals dying.

But remember what I said earlier? How you have to have judgement?

You don't have it. You don't understand that I've given you better explanations and so you cling to this grand theory of your that you've figured out in your infinite wisdom.

Perhaps it is arrogance on your part - and it is certainly unjustified.

I got just one question:

Who is prepared for a 100-200foot sea level rise?

It will happen over a period of a about six months.

1 Billion will be displaced.

30% of the agri land will be lost.

It will change weather patterns and crop seasons.

Go to PBS and watch the NOVA program on the Ice.
It only hurts for a minute

Re: Massive Methane LEAK in Arctic sea - the End is Nigh
Hypothesis: As has happened in the past, the already-anooxic oceans have grown considerably more anoxic because of the halting of the Gulf current that distributed heat around Florida, up the east coast and then to the east. As a result, as has happened in the past, the 'dead zones' are pluming hydrogen sulfide into the atmosphere. As a consequence, the ozone layer is being reacted away (H2S + O3 -> H2O + O2 + S), exposing the Earth to rising and probably ultimately lethal levels of UV radiation, causing a rise in mutations all around the world.

This is also allowing in more heat, which is now accumulating in the Gulf and along the east coast (at minimum), and beginning to dissociate the methane hydrate deposits, especially those near Washinton DC. Because the H2S eats away the hydroxl radicals as well as ozone, and because the hydroxyl radicals are what would NORMALLY mitigate methane in the atmosphere, the resulting methane plumes will last considerably longer, enhancing the oceanic heating, causing more H2S plumes, making the methane last longer...and so on.

The rising H2S levels in the air are killing off the biosphere. This began some time ago, with bees and small lizards, and has worked its way up the size ladder as the atmospheric plumes have increased in concentration, and this has increased radically since the Gulf circulation stopped in 2010. Now the H2S is wafting down into low-lying areas and killing people there in increasing numbers, and it is making its way into homes now too and killing multi-person households, as well as fish, birds, trees and other oxygen-using life around the world.

Because H2S is a flammable gas, its interaction with our flammable fuels infrastructure (cars, planes, jet skis, boats, homes, hotels, businesses, chemical plants, ammo depots, etc) is problematic and is leading to increases in fires and explosions, everywhere generally, but more on the coasts. Also, it is fast-acting and people driving are likely to be affected, either stricken unconscious or dead, and this will cause an increase in major traffic accidents which has already begun.

"Hypothesis: As has happened in the past, the already-anooxic oceans"

The oceans aren't anoxic except in certain areas.

"have grown considerably more anoxic"

Prove it.

"because of the halting of the Gulf current"

The Gulf stream is fine

"As a result, as has happened in the past"

Prove it.

"the 'dead zones' are pluming hydrogen sulfide"

Prove it.

"the ozone layer is being reacted away"

Prove it.

"exposing the Earth to rising and probably ultimately lethal levels of UV radiation"

Prove it.

"causing a rise in mutations all around the world."

WTF? Are you this stupid?

"This is also allowing in more heat"

No it doesn't. Heat doesn't come into the atmosphere. It comes after solar radiation is converted into long-wave radiation after being absorbed and then re-emitted by materials on the surface.

"which is now accumulating in the Gulf and along the east coast (at minimum)"

Prove it.

"beginning to dissociate the methane hydrate deposits"

Prove it.

"Because the H2S eats away the hydroxl radicals as well as ozone, and because the hydroxyl radicals are what would NORMALLY mitigate methane in the atmosphere"

Hydroxyl radicals and ozone come from oxygen. There is an enormous amount of oxygen in the atmosphere. In fact, hydroxyl radicals are constantly being created because they don't exist for very long at all.

In reality, you have it completely backwards. The constantly created hydroxyl radicals will turn your poisonous gas into harmless elemental sulfur.

"the resulting methane plumes will last considerably longer, enhancing the oceanic heating, causing more H2S plumes, making the methane last longer...and so on."

Worthless conjecture based on fantasy.

"The rising H2S levels in the air are killing off the biosphere."

Prove there are rising levels. If you do that prove they are of a significant level.

"This began some time ago, with bees and small lizards, and has worked its way up the size ladder as the atmospheric plumes have increased in concentration"

Worthless conjecture...

"and this has increased radically since the Gulf circulation stopped in 2010."

...based on misinformation.

"Now the H2S is wafting down into low-lying areas and killing people there in increasing numbers, and it is making its way into homes now too and killing multi-person households, as well as fish, birds, trees and other oxygen-using life around the world."

The signs of a paranoid and delusional mind.

"Because H2S is a flammable gas, its interaction with our flammable fuels infrastructure (cars, planes, jet skis, boats, homes, hotels, businesses, chemical plants, ammo depots, etc) is problematic and is leading to increases in fires and explosions, everywhere generally, but more on the coasts."

If the levels were high enough to cause explosions then they'd certainly be detectable. They aren't. You are insane.

"Also, it is fast-acting and people driving are likely to be affected, either stricken unconscious or dead, and this will cause an increase in major traffic accidents which has already begun."

Ah so car accidents are part of your conspiracy too.

Question: Have you ever been admitted to a mental institution?

Blah blah blah. I submit a hypothesis. Based upon that, I made some predictions, as if it is correct then it must be predictive. Now I'm gonna wait and see if reality matches the hypothesis, if the predictions come true. Seems pretty sane to me. Saner than just pretending people AREN'T being found mysteriously dead. Did you even read the links I posted, all those stories? Almost all of them near water, or in a basement, etc - heavier-than-air gas that acts super-fast and is lethal. There aren't many choices. And whatever it is, it knocked 13,000 Saiga antelope dead too. Narrows the options even more - like, to H2S plumes from the oceans.

So, let's see what develops. Don't be so impatient. I mean, I didn't predict entire cities burning or dropping dead. Is that what you want? Would that constitute proof enough? Or would you whip up some normalcy bias stew for us to eat for that too?

We might just see that, you know.

Maybe you should read the article again. It was talking about ice shelves.

Ice shelves are already in the water. If they break off they have zero affect on sea level.

Here is a little experiment for you. Take a glass, put an ice cube in it, mark the water line with a marker, wait for the ice cube to melt, and then check the water level again.

It doesn't change a bit.

Arctic sea ice levels have zero affect on the sea level. They vary due to wind a lot more than temp which changes due to the AO and NAO.

"Saner than just pretending people AREN'T being found mysteriously dead."

People have never been mysteriously found dead before your hypothesis.

"Did you even read the links I posted, all those stories?"

I've read some links, but not bothered with most of them.

"Almost all of them near water, or in a basement, etc - heavier-than-air gas that acts super-fast and is lethal."

Yeah hardly any gases like that (can you sense the sarcasm?).

Additionally, even if someone did die of methane poisoning there are far more likely ways for them to get exposed to it - burst pipelines, sewer backup, etc.

"So, let's see what develops. Don't be so impatient. I mean, I didn't predict entire cities burning or dropping dead."

Weren't you the one saying we'd all be dead in under 6 months?

Or is your future "proof" going to be more isolated BS incidents?
