Re: Massive Methane LEAK in Arctic sea - the End is Nigh
About chemtrails: I think they have multiple purposes, but are mostly intended to accomplish the following:

* Block our view, when needed, of various objects passing through the inner solar system

* Block and reflect radiation coming from the Sun, to prevent at least some heating (which compounds the H2S problem), and to replace the shielding provided by our ozone layer as the ozone layer disappears

* To provide metallic atmospheric particles that work with HAARP to create upper-atmospheric arcs to create ozone in the upper atmosphere

* To provide particles that help scrub the H2S from the atmosphere

Here's some good info from a purported chemtrail scientist. I believe he was telling the truth (though not the WHOLE truth):

[link to www.holmestead.ca]

In that email interview, he explains what HE thought was the purpose of chemtrails - to help mitigate 'UV Summer'. He only explained the problem in the context of human pollution and the ozone layer problem, but never mentioned the greater problem, the warming oceans and H2S. That's why I say he didn't tell ALL of the truth. Maybe he didn't know all of the truth.

In any case, aluminum oxide (also called alumina) has been reported by many to be a part of the mixture. That makes some sense: it's lightweight, it's reflective, it would help reflect some energy back into space. It does have another use too, as part of the Claus process:

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

OLD technology, from the late 1800s. But it's how we take H2S out of a gas stream. It's the best way to do that that we know about. So if we have an H2S problem (and we do) then you'd expect the Claus process to play a part in our defense.

So, that 'roaring sound' people are hearing in the sky? I think we HAVE mastered routing light around objects to make them invisible. Maybe we reverse-engineered that technology from ET craft, maybe we came up with it ourselves. Who knows. But I think that roaring sound is coming from large industrial-scale Claus plants floating invisibly above us, sucking in dirty air (the input gas stream) and aluminum oxide (from the chemtrails) and spewing out clean air. The roaring is from the air intakes and exhausts.

This is just a hypothesis, but it does seem to fit.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2073448

More science on H2S and methane releases in relation to ozone collapse and corresponding catastrophic UV levels (PDF):

[link to acd.ucar.edu]

I'll quote a little:

"However, we also find that large quantities of
hydrogen sulfide create a significant decrease in tropospheric hydroxyl radical, leading to a commensurate increase in atmospheric methane. Therefore a large methane flux (possibly from methane clathrate destabilization, Siberian traps or hydrothermal vent complexes) combined with a large hydrogen sulfide oceanic flux is much more likely to lead to an ozone collapse than methane or hydrogen sulfide alone with implications to the Permian-Triassic boundary extinction 250 million years ago."

Given how things are frying from the Sun now, and this frying has been increasing rapidly over the last two years, I would contend that this sequence of events is already well under way, and is probably an unstoppable juggernaut of doom at this point.

And see how everything feeds into everything else. The oceans belch H2S. This destroys the hydroxyl radicals in the atmosphere, which would normally react away methane. But with the hydroxyl radicals destroyed, the methane lingers much longer, heating things up more, which makes more ferocious H2S plumes and melts more methane, making the ozone layer wither away yet more, adding yet more heat...and so on.

This is like a sickness upon the Earth that has to burn itself out before it gets better. This phase won't be done until all the methane has been released, the ozone layer is destroyed, and pretty much everything in the oceans and (to a lesser degree) on land is dead. I truly doubt that anyone on the surface of the Earth has more than five years left to live.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1003588

Wouldn't the methane cloud eventually encounter a lightning storm and ignite itself before it had a chance to spread so far that the entire atmosphere became combustible?
 Quoting: Just passing through. 7158831

If either H2S or methane plumes are concentrated enough then yes, if they encounter a spark they will ignite and possibly explode. That's probably what all these mysterious 'explosion sounds' and 'boom sounds' are that people are hearing around the world. Lots of homes exploding and/or catching fire lately too, as well as chemical plants, oil refineries, ammo depots, rocket bases, etc.

The entire atmosphere will not explode. Instead we will have many smaller explosions and fires as everything that is combustible eventually burns.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1003588

BTW, we should probably talk about what you can do to protect yourself and extend your lifespan.

First off, forget cheap gas masks of any kind. They don't work for hydrogen sulfide. You need a powered respirator attached to a known clean air supply, via hose or on your back. (Read: expensive.)

Ozone generators seem like a good idea. Ozone reacts away hydrogen sulfide. That's bad for the Earth's ozone layer, yes, but down on the ground, it seems like it should at least help some. The reaction is this: H2S + O3 => H2O + O2 + S. I have three ozone generators going, personally.

I believe the activated carbon in carbon filters probably helps. I have two 6" centrifugal fans attached to carbon filters.

Aboriginals and other primitives fight volcanic gases with fires. This is a volcanic gas as well as a biochemical gas, and it is flammable, so it would make sense that fire might help. I use a gas fireplace (no chimney down which H2S could fall or accumulate that way), and use it as much as is feasible. (Obviously I'm not gonna run the fireplace when it's 95 degrees F outside.)

Insulating your home seems prudent. Think of the things you would do if you knew radioactive fallout was approaching, in terms of sealing up your house, and do as many of those things as you think prudent without looking like a whackjob to your neighbors.

Going outside seems increasingly dangerous, so I'd minimize that. I've had two friends drop dead in four months, neither with any health issues, neither older than early 40s. The cause of death was stroke, which is what an H2S death looks like (or heart attack, or pulmonary edema).

That's all I've got so far. If others have any suggestions, I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one interested in hearing them.

The abject stupidity in this thread is always a good read.

I love how the data all contradicts this BS, but that doesn't matter. Methane levels have flattened in a clear logarithmic function.

The fact that you think we'll need "breathing apparatus and special systems in airtight buildings" demonstrates your complete ignorance of the atmosphere, the amount of methane in it and the maximum amount of methane there could possibly be in it.

BBC NEWS: PLANETARY EMERGENCY!!!!! (yes, the mainstream media uttered the two words we never thought we'd hear from them...more than a month ago)

siren2siren2siren2siren2

BBC News, March 17, 2012
Climate "tech fixes" urged for Arctic methane

snip
Scientists told UK MPs this week that the possibility of a major methane release triggered by melting Arctic ice constitutes a "planetary emergency"...........
Several teams of scientists trying to measure how much methane is actually being released have reported seeing vast bubbles coming up through the water - although analysing how much this matters is complicated by the absence of similar measurements from previous decades.

Nevertheless, Prof Wadhams told MPs, the release could be expected to get stronger over time. "With 'business-as-usual' greenhouse gas emissions, we might have warming of 9-10C in the Arctic. "That will cement in place the ice-free nature of the Arctic Ocean - it will release methane from offshore, and a lot of the methane on land as well." This would - in turn - exacerbate warming, across the Arctic and the rest of the world. Abrupt methane releases from frozen regions may have played a major role in two events, 55 and 251 million years ago, that extinguished much of the life then on Earth. snip
