I thought the massive amounts of sea water they pumped into the 4 reactors was overflow/run-off back into the ocean already, and or partialy pumped out to sea...? How can they honestly claim to have stored the massive amount of water they brought in and used to cool the reactors during that stretch of time ....hmmm?? If you look at satelite images of the plant before the incident you can see they had a massive pumping system (assuming for heat transfer/cooling?) that sent a respectable amount of turbulance a fair distance out from the plant into the ocean on the North end of the site. If this piping was existing before as a heat rejection outlet, who can say it didn't "essentially become a drain pipe into the ocean" after the incident when the process water and cooling/sea water were no longer safely seperated by a shell and tube type configuration for heat exchange for either the plants chillers or reactors. Therefore, I have been concerned about the fish that are being exposed to the radiated currents, and when that contaminated fish will end up in markets or canned for human consumption. Should we be concerned about this for salmon, tuna etc..., and if so, how do we effectively monitor the catch that is coming in daily for market? Been a bit worried about this. Interested to see what others have to say. Thanks your post OP. |

This is why the Japs are send security ships and guards along with the whaling fleet this year, they poisoned thier own waters and now want to plunder ours. These guards probably have weapons and it should be considered an act of war to bring weapons into Australian waters. Ships are probably covered in radioactive contaminants, also thier government gave $28m to the whaling fleet instead of putting the money into decontaminating Fukushima. The Jap government is rotten to the core. |
