If the "government" shuts down does that mean that they IRS won't be collecting Federal taxes anymore?

nothing will happen if it does. This will not be the first time it happens. so research what happen the first time and that will be your answer to this time if it happens.

no this mean they come after you more cause they need the money more then ever if the government shut down.

If it goes down nothing will happen.. Will be down till the first of the year.. they will deal it will come back.. Nothing will happen.. This is not the first time and wont be the last time.

Gas and food are definitely good ideas, I hope we can get this handled before a Shutdown. I do not think anyone has to go anywhere, I am sure we will be safe and will still go to our jobs and have power and utilities. I am just thinking this would drive up the price of silver and gold.
