If u want a beer, drive to BP and buy a 24oz beer in the 5.9% range and sip it. do this after 10:00PM. It's a good way to cut back. U get more effect on an empty stomach. I think it's a good step in the right direction..... |

I'm not letting it effect my work but it is effecting my home life. I know I have a problem but it is hard actually to do something about it because all your friends call when they are drinking and want you to come over. Hell I'm lying about it on this post...I drink to the state of drunkenness by my self all the time. I have done it to myself tonight actually. I cannot stop myself from drinking if I have alcohol available. I blame only myself and no one else. Help would be appreciated. Quoting: Newbie78 Stop buying it so it won't be around the house. Also, doctors can prescribe drugs that actually cut alcohol craving (and I don't mean by replacing with methadone or something). There's a great book called "Get Up!" by Bucky Sinister if you're kind of a rebel. I think it's hilarious as well as helpful, but he's a punk slam poet and his style is not to everyone's taste. Just do it. Good luck. |

SO YOU ARE WRONG. The #1 step in Alcoholics Anonymous - *the* most successfull program in the world - is "I AM POWERLESS". Seek outside help if you have not "overcome" the problem on your own. Before its too late. You can always tell a SHILL by how many posts they make on things they don't believe in. |
