Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8059141 There is no truth or mercy Or knowledge of God in the land. By swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing adultery, They break all restraint, With bloodshed upon bloodshed. Therefore the land will mourn; And everyone who dwells there will waste away With the beasts of the field And the birds of the air; Even the fish of the sea will be taken away. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1547907 United States 01/01/2012 09:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think blaming fireworks on these bird deaths is too easy. What if, God forbid, there could be some other cause that poses a risk to humans and other animals? Blaming fireworks before conducting any in depth investigation is irresponsible, in my opinion. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 3192102 United States 01/01/2012 09:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If it were fireworks there would be tons of dead blackbirds in my town. Fireworks started around 6pm and went untill midnight. People were just doing them at there house plus professional ones in our small downtown area. There are no dead birds here so I don't buy that excuse. What's next? Another mysterious death of somebody like John Wheeler? |

Fireworks do NOT scare birds to death...they just fly away. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 3192102 United States 01/01/2012 09:49 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Of course it's fireworks. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1509906 I know every time I'm out shooting my gun or hunting he birds come falling out of the air like rain. Must be heart attacks. Surely this happens to every one else too? [link to www.todaysthv.com] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8060303 Hmmm...read some of the comments of Beebe regarding the dead birds. Does Beebe have an abnormally high population of blackbirds that scare easy? I just don't get it why this town? |

Was that Arkansas as well? And exactly at new years day it seems to repeat itself.... There will come a time when you believe everything ends. OmarEastwind User ID: 1493015 United States 01/01/2012 10:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The scared birds fly up and, as it's night, they can't see so they crash into each other, fall, and die. Send the idiots who set off fireworks to collect the dead birds. Then ban fireworks. Enough already. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1509660 So, the birds in Beebe are some "special" type of bird...easily scared, and birds everywhere else are not? Your premise is flawed... Ban fireworks...that'll do it...not. |

Iolair User ID: 8061056 Germany 01/01/2012 10:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yea, I know about all the animal die-offs of course, I had an eye on it, but couldn´t remember where it started. Global Media has had some crappy bs-explanations as you would expect. It has to do with the sun in first place and because if that affected earth changes in my opinion. But this is extremely odd. Two times on the 1. of January. This smells like something staged or something, how could be by accident. Yes, it was Arkansas. Then it was more than birds, and global media picked up on it.
