618, PORTUGAL The book you are referring to sounds like it's the one written by the frenchman Abbe Baruel I forget its name. A related book called EVIDENCE OF A CONSPIRACY BY PROFESSOR JAMES ROBISON OF EDINBURG UNIVERSITY. The book was reprinted and sold in the U.S. by the JOHN BIRCH society. When the book was first printed in the U.S. in the late 1790s it caused the first of the two times freemasonry had to go underground in the u.s. the second was the masonic murder of a Captain Morgan for printing the first three degrees of freemasonry. THE KNOW NOTHING PARTY REFERRED TO IN HISTORY BOOKS ACTUALLY CALLED ITSELF THE ANTI-MASONIC PARTY.
