Suffering
How the noble truth of Suffering appears to you?
We do not "come into" this world; we come out of it, as leaves from a tree. As the ocean "waves," the universe "peoples." Every individual is an expression of the whole realm of nature, a unique action of the total universe. This fact is rarely, if ever, experienced by most individuals. Even those who know it to be true in theory do not sense or feel it, but continue to be aware of themselves as isolated "egos" inside bags of skin.

Along with love, compassion is the face of altruism. It is a feeling from deep in the heart that you cannot bear others’ suffering without acting to relieve it. As compassion grows stronger, so does your willingness to commit yourself to the welfare of all beings, even if you have to do it alone. You will be unbiased in your service to all beings, no matter how they respond to you.

I believe you can only be considered Noble while still Suffering thru long-suffering and empathy for that which Mankind and Mother Earth are lacking. To suffer with mankind as a whole so you can be truly thankful in Mind, Body and Spirit for what little you do have. I'd rather be homeless in America than Iraq or someplace worst, I can't help but feel like a lot of people hate me for things I did in my last life.

Suffering is terrible, some of us have to suffer more then others. Suffering however, builds character and wisdom if we are physically able to get through it and come out the other side. I have been suffering for a long time now.

Re: Suffering
We suffer so that the masters watching our little game gets their jollies like whoa.
Love is not the game, life is.
-
When we wake up in this "reality" every morning, we are actually falling asleep, because only in our dreams we are truly awake.
-
We are not our body, nor our mind. We are not the voice in our body, nor our head. We are the the here and now, experiencing without any input from either of the mentioned above.
-
It's not about others forgiving you, but whether you can forgive yourself.
-
It doesn't take much energy to make the wrong decision. But to make the right one, you have to put every fiber of your being to it.
-
I know i have a lot to work on. But knowing that there's no hairy ass man in the clouds to judge me when I have little bit of fun on the expense of someone elses ignorance, makes life a whole lot easier.

Re: Suffering
We suffer to experience our true nature. Life has no meaning. Meaning is in life itself. Through experience we find our meaning in life. We suffer cause our true nature is lost. So i would say we suffer to learn meaning of life, and therefore to find our true nature, true identity.

How is my avatar? I am suffering over how it is.

Also, you can check my personal signature under here, specifically the first and last quotes, and how they destroy each other in emptiness.

I want to add one by the Dalai Lama, even though I don't like him, that says all volition has self-interest as its basis.

The acknowledgement of suffering in the lack of communion between Mind, Body and Spirit due to a loss of Natural Self being perpetuated by religious entities that say Holy things are Evil or cloak themselves in the Name of God which they Secretly Hate with their every waking breathe. And the journey we encounter during our lives as our Natural Self is returned to Us.

its probably something you are doing in this life that makes people not like you. its easier to come up with excuses than to admit the truth and if you're the kind of guy that makes up excuses all the time, that right there might be the reason people don't like you

Re: Suffering
suffering is an unfortunate necessity in order to fully appreciate and comprehend the concept of good. the yang to the yin. life has meaning through how we overcome suffering and hardship. if there was none, life would have little true meaning.

however, all suffering is apparently always self-imposed at some level.

Re: Suffering
I think one good question to get more at the heart of it might be to ask yourself if the love you have for someone has endured to the point that, even if they no longer had the same feelings or if they changed, you would still love them no matter what happened.

Then you have love eternally, no matter what happens, if you are able and willing to let go of suffering arising from attachment.

There are others.

So here's some real suffering: the suffering of being too tired, too in need of sleep, to bring up other concepts I could use to enlighten you all further on my personal insights to the other forms of existential suffering.

So here, in this thread, of this thread, I have suffered.

If someone has a specific question, though, I might be able to tackle one before I retire.
