I agree - it is on both sides. And that attitude does need to die but it never will with all of life's current distractions. It will only get worse unfortunatly unless something drastic changes. One of the elite's plans was to totally destroy marriage and they've done a fine job of accomplishing that through many venues, especially TV, movies, and it's-all-about-me magazines. Plus, the gay and lesbian agenda is promoted EVERY SINGLE DAY in the MSM.

The media promotes women to be extremely sexy (starting in childhood) and that men are play things to be thrown away as soon as the lust fades away and reality takes over (everyday chores, raising babies, paying bills, ALL the struggles of REAL life).

On the other hand, Western men have had pornography and a playboy attitude directed at their psyches for decades. Another notch on the bedpost every night if possible.

Result? Massive divorce, VD rates skyrocketing, abortions in the millions, abandoned and 'lost' children, suicide, drugs and early death - it's a no-win situation. Empty and meaningless lives in constant search of daily titillation.

When times get REAL tough, when sacrifices have to be made, people will stick together out of sheer necessity. The Russians have it right - FAMILIES come first, sex is way down on the list. In the U.S., sex comes first and foremost, commitment to one single person is last.

Loneliness is THE Number One mental health problem in America - and its roots are in permissiveness and lack of commitment to marriage and family.

Watch out for mail-order brides though - once they become Americanized, they, too, want the entire works.

So sad to hear that, but its the reality tv shows they show a side of life that noone has. The people on them are all fake and pretending half the time. Your wife will get a sad wake up call one day, these shows are designed to make you unhappy with your life on purpose. There are good women out there and I hope eventually that you stop hurting. I like what you said to encourage the OP though. People always disappoint, don't get hurt, it's our fallen nature.

Those television shows are fucking poison to a weak mind. It turns women into money grubbing sluts if they weren't so before. She's now going to look for some other guy to milk dry. Her true nature is revealed. But you do sound like a bit of a simpleton. And dead end fucking boring.

Marriage sucks, and it especially sucks to watch someone you've been with for 12 years change so drastically and become so shallow, and selfish.
