There are TWO concepts here... 1. Romney winning the candidacy 2. Romney winning the Presidency If Romney continues without dealing with Ron Paul, whilst he would win the candidacy, he will have to spend exponentially growing amount of money and likely lose the final election, having been wounded below the waterline. As I have suggested, as a good corporate raider, he should understand the concept of the "reverse takeover+ In short, if you can't beat them, join them. The only real solution to beat Obama is for Romney to become Ron Paul's VP candidate, giving them both young and old voters. That would leave Ron Paul to fix up the republic ready for another 200 years of abuse by cheap greedy politicians. As Ron Paul has a fixed agenda and is 76 years old, Romney would be virtuaally guaranteed a cakewalk to the Presidency in 2016.
