Woman put in jail for being poor

OK, I can see why she went to jail. This is ridiculous and being poor has nothing to do with it. Just wow. Such a nice house and she has turned it into a junk yard. That is a rat infestation waiting to happen. This just pisses me off she is playing the poor card. She is a hoarder.

So when cops ticketed her $480 for having a messy yard, Ruggles wasn’t exactly prepared to pay it.

They ought to jail all of my fucking neighbors then because everyone single one of them except for me and tow others have junk cars and shit piled all over their yards front and back. We're talking scrap metal, old cars and trucks that don't run. wood piles, Wood barrels, lawn mowers, shingles, concrete blocks, etc... and no, they don't clean it up,either. they're some of the worst and messiest people you have ever seen.

Was at her house on Halloween. The yard is neater than one would think in the front. Just several packs of shingles sitting neatly on the front of the roof. My son's friend's parents, who just live several houses away from her, pointed out the shingles and chuckled saying that they had been there a few years. It did not seem to offend them and it certainly did not offend me. The yard was neat. It just had the shingle packs on the front yard part of the roof. I guess the neighbor who could see it was the one to call the town. Sad. They should have offered to help instead. Everyone knows someone hit by the recession/depression. How neighborly. How nice.... The lack of understanding of what it takes to hold on to normalcy under these stressful financial circumstances is mind boggling. And for the neighbor to complain about a drop in property values.... Come on! This area is Candlewood not the Stepford-like areas of I'On or Daniel Island with extreme HOA compliancy officers saying when your grass needs cutting or that you can see the trash can from the street. They need to get a life. Start going after the copper thieves in the area instead, or how about the armed robbers or other actual law breakers?

People that are tax paying citizens who pay for their property should be able to decorate it with heaps of scraps as they wish and to all those who want to dictate how others should live, grow a pair and either gorw a pair of balls and deal with, stop worrying about WHAT EVERYBODY ELSE IS DOING it or put up a fence.
