It was a cloudy night, no moon. He stood on their balcony and could tell me the sound came from the clouds, not the ground or nearby streets.

One possibility is that the sound was from ground level/within earth, it was shooting up then bounced off the atmosphere so it appeared as if it's from the sky, sort of like how mirage works.

If the sound is from below it's not too hard to tell. In cities with metro you hear the noise come from under your feet all the time, can't be mistaken as from above...

the only downside to this is the "volume", is a bit misleading, 1.0 means average for the term, so an index of 5 means there was 5x the average, so if the term is on average searched once a day with an index of 2, that doesn't really mean a whole lot....so lets dig deeper...what's the global monthly searches (calculated by using adwords keyword tool), then approx searches on that date given volume increase:

nibiru - 823,000 -> 1.48m
end of world - 4.09m -> 17.17m
last year - 673,000 -> 1.54m
apocalypse - 4.09m -> 8.18m
ufo - 6.12m -> 9.18m

in that trailer they say, that scientist have discoverd strange sounds in oceans, that the inuits can hear the polar lights, and that there is a sound from earth.
in great britain some people made suicide because of this strange sounds.

It could be coming from tectonic plates moving in the earth, but I doubt it because sound travels as vibation and I think sounds that are this loud with such a range of pitches would have to vibrate the earth's crust fairly hard, if there were hollow caverns (all the way down to the point of the noise) it would be possible but seems unlikely because for the ground in the area not to shake the only area wherein the tectonic activities could be taking place would be the area of the cavern which would make these cases quite improbable.

IDK wtf is going on though because sound can't be created out of just nothing, I would think Haarp would be more likely to fuck up radio signals or create light waves before it would make sounds.

I got to say that these sounds from the various locations really is the only thing that has scared me. I have not heard them where I live, thank God. When I listen to them I have an overwhelming sense of doom. I think it is the unknown factor as well as the sound itself that just freaks me the hell out. Hard to prepare for what this may indicate, too many options, and none seem to lead to a clear conclusion at this point. This is one doom topic I do not even discuss with friends and family, don't want to creep anyone out.

One thing I'm going to do is pay closer attention to the wild life behavior around my neck of the woods while this is on going, curious to see if anything is affecting them?

Trends for the past 12 months shows the spike relative a longer period sample size. A mini spike occurred in August of last year.

Well, for what it's worth, Zeta Talk does mention that as the time of the pole shift nears, the earth will be making noises. It's said that during the shift itself, for about a 1hr period, the noise will be deafening.
