So do you people really think it's merely coincidence that a cruiseliner tips over in the opening of the movie 2012, and the real 2012? Really?

The other possibility is not that far-fetched. That the Concordia event was a staged and scripted event like a movie. That would be simple to fabricate with CGI and actors, and it's in a remote enough place to be controlled.

Anyways, one of the next scenes in 2012 is a prominent framing of the Whitehouse, as Sir Douche-alot is holding his wineglass up to it talking about the 1.7 bil $ they've raised for it. You can also see a helicopter off in the distance flying right towards the Whitehouse.

Just throwin' out any "interesting" things I see in this movie now. I'm watching it, and will update the thread with any other notable landmarks / imagery that I see.

but this one detail has always stuck out in my head

I remember a prediction that before the doom really would start that most the world would see a Cruise Liner tipped over on it's side,

I feel tho that it was suppose to be in the Gulf of Mexico

But, again other than the tipped over cruise liner detail, my memory is not serving me well
