I'm the person responsible for the examination of the position of the planets on dates when mine disasters occurred posted on the U. S. Mine Rescue Association web site. Actually, an astronomical mathmetician first turned me on to the notion. He had done extensive research looking at planetary positions related to volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc.

Regarding any coincidence connected to mine disasters, the jury is still out, mainly because you can't overlook human stupidity as a contributing factor.
