Officials said Arco, a retired White House dog, just arrived at Metro Airport from Tucson, Ariz., Monday night. When Continental Cargo workers let the dog out of his crate to go to the bathroom, he ran off into the night. The dog’s owner, Nadine Karsevar said Arco ran for about five hours in view of rescue crews, but when approached – he bolts. She’s been monitoring the situation from her home in Arizona and said the dog needs to be darted with a sleep drug so he can be safely caught. “Somebody has to catch him,” Karsevar said. “Somebody has to stop him. Apparently, I guess he had his collar on and his leash, and they said he slipped his collar, which, that’s really amazing; he’s never done that,” Karsevar said. “And, now he’s been running for over five hours.” More at [link to detroit.cbslocal.com] |
