I like watching them..they work so hard..(yes, I lead a dull life :)

I got stung by one as a kid, in the eye, so I haven't been a fan of them since then. I didnt think carpenter bees had stingers..hmm..silly me I play with them. Sure would like to see a pic of the eye-sting..wowzers, must have hurt pretty fair. They don't have stingers, but they'll eat the wood in your home to death. I like them, too... but I like my home more. Usually only one or two have to die for them to get the picture and fly away, lol. The females can sting, not the males...and that bitch stung me right in the eye when I didn't even do anything :( [ link to ento.psu.edu]
