The US are waving the white flag as we speak, and trying to negotiate a surrender that will help them keep face. meanwhile the French are getting out before anyone can say they were part of the defeat.

And before anyone starts to argue with that, let me remind you that the military operations in Afghanistan had clear objectives....These were not met and therefore it is a failure, A DEFEAT.......Suck on it.

I feel so sorry for the PEOPLE of Afghanistan.

Just France being France.

The French are bitching so much because it was from someone that infiltrated the supposed good guys (Afghan Army). I wouldn't want to be helping people out in friendly/safe zone and wonder which knucklehead is only there to take you out.

I understand that, but they only have themselves to blame for letting people into their base that they don't know are terrorist psychos.

You do understand that we work with the Afghan soldiers and are expected to be shot at by Taliban.
If the police and military we train go around shooting us, France is right that rules and practices need to be reviewed.

lol, I do realize that. But you should realize (as well as the Frenchies) that terrorists find it pretty easy to put on an Afghan military uniform and get into French bases. It comes with being in an Islamist fanatical state trying to restore order. You're going to get psychos coming in to ruin your day while you're doing pushups.

You could police your base's borders better, or bitch about getting shot at in a war zone. France chooses the latter.

Damn straight. We (and France) should have never gone there in the first place. Then, we wouldn't have to worry about helicopters getting shot down and terrorists infiltrating the Afghani Military that's supposed to be on our side. If they can't get their shit together, then they shouldn't expect help from the world.

What I still don't understand is...What the fuck is the average Afghani citizen doing?? Just sitting around eating their sand-pies and burning American flags while a sociopath Afghan minority blows up their family and friends with explosive vests. Where's the Afghan day of rage? I sure as hell wouldn't sit around if the Westboro Baptist church started suicide bombing soldiers' funerals instead of protesting...I'd go fill some extremist ass with lead.

Average citizens always seem to forget that they are the ones with the numbers. They are the ones with the power. They're just either to stupid or complacent to act upon it.

Why do you define them as terrorists, after all they are defending their own country. It is the foreign soldiers that are to be considered terrorists
How would America, France or Britain feel if these guys sent over an army that killed their families. I know that the taliban are evil bastards , but each nation should be allowed to determine their own future and rise up as necessary against their oppressors.

I agree that a nation should be allowed to defend themselves from threats within. But, what happens when they don't, can't, or won't? They die, or they get help. The world has chosen to help, but with piss-poor results. Is that entirely our fault? I don't think so. The obvious lack of desire to quash the group that constantly threatens life in their country shows that the occupying forces aren't the only ones to blame for the massive failure to liberate.

When we leave, and I hope it's soon...there will be no civilian uprising against the brash minority powers who get their way with roadside and suicide bombings. They'll just take it and thank Allah that they weren't the ones that got blown to pieces by the blast. And if that's the way they like to live, then let them.

The problem is, their conflicts always end up spilling over other borders. So, I still don't understand why the world bitches when the UN and the western world feels like it has to step in...not that I agree with that decision.

The moral of the story is that countries should be allowed to control their own shit. But, it's quite obvious to me that countries like Afghanistan simply can't. Take a look at Iraq. They're doing just a wonderful job so far on their own aren't they?

Not unusual actually. france needs to withdraw from Afghanistan because this summer it needs its militairy forces in Syria and Lebanon.

im reading the book OPERATION DARK HEART on the AFGHAN INTELL war etc.. by LT COL ANTHONY SHAFFER.. it is quite informative.. and only on page 50 but anyone who goes to this war is just plain StuPID.. but i wanted to read a book to understand where the bases are.. much is blacked out.. but the essentials and dialogue and vocab are there.... but i missed him on a talk show.. perhaps he has a change of HEART in the DARKNESS.ssss of the REPTILES.. who sent him there.. ah ho WIOLAWA

weopons are allways unloaded in the base but normaly u have them allways on u... meybe the french do it otherwise.
