Christian Identity Crisis
Are You Having An Identity Crisis?
Francis Frangipane

As Christians our faith tells us that Christ died as payment for our sins.
We believe He actually rose from the grave as proof that He was,
indeed, sent by God. Yet, it is also our conviction that, upon this
resurrection event, not only were the sins of mankind atoned for but,
through Christ, a second Genesis began.

Paul explains, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul. The last Adam
became a life-giving spirit” (1 Cor 15:45). The word Adam means “man” and
is representative of “mankind.” There are now two Adams or two species of man.
The first species of man is
the descendant of sinful Adam. His life orbits around his carnal
or “natural” desires. He carries both the DNA of Adam’s nature and the
consequences of Adam’s sin. This natural man is focused upon fulfilling
the needs of his soul. He is, indeed, a “living soul,” but he is controlled
by fears, physical needs, intellect boundaries, cultural environment and
sin.

The second species or race of man is Spirit-centered. His thoughts, dreams
and experiences originate primarily from the Holy Spirit, who lives in
union with him. The highest aspiration of the Spirit-centered man
is not on attaining natural successes, but upon attaining conformity to
Christ. While the first man lives to experience what the world around him
can give him, the last species of man, the Christ-man, lives for what he can
give to the world: He is a “life-giving spirit.” The first Adam
engendered descendants with problems; the spiritual descendants of the last
Adam, Christ, provide the world with answers.

New Creatures
While men divide over many things - culture, skin color, language or
social status - from God’s view mankind is only truly divided into two
subsets: those controlled by their souls and those controlled by the Holy Spirit.
One race is dead in sin; the other is alive in Christ.
One species of man is destined to perish; the other will live forever.
Just as the first Adam passed sin, weakness and death to his children,
so the second Adam, Christ, passes virtue, power and eternal life to the
children of God.

“Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things
passed away; behold, new things have come” (2 Cor 5:17).

“For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation” (Gal 6:15).

We are not merely men of flesh temporarily acting spiritual, but we
are spiritual beings temporarily living as men of flesh. If you have
received Christ into your life, you are part of the second Genesis.
You possess a new nature which, like Christ’s, shall live forever.

Identity Crisis
Yet, too many of us suffer from an “identity crisis.”
We are confused about who we really are. We attend church, but internally
we are still deeply identified with the traits and expectations of the
first Adam. Paul rebuked the church in Corinth, which suffered with fleshy attitudes,
saying “are you not walking like mere men? (1 Cor 3:3).

Hear me well: If you have received Christ, you are no mere mortal.
The very same power that raised Christ from the dead, abides also in you.
While you may experience many of the same trials that the descendants of the first Adam face,
you are buoyed by God’s Spirit as He faithfully works all things for good in your life.
On the other side of your trials is not death, but resurrection!

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your
mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you” (Rom 8:11).

We may look human, but abiding within us is a treasure more valuable the
earth itself: resurrection power.

“And God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death,
since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power” (Acts 2:24).
Just as it was impossible for death to hold Christ in the grave, so it is
impossible for the substance of “death” still in us - our sins and failures - to hold Him as well.
Christ conquers death as readily as light drives out darkness.
Indeed, in all things we are “more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Rom 8:37 NIV).

Seated With Christ
As I was engaged in a particular struggle, a friend asked me,
“How are you doing under the circumstances?” I answered, “I’m not under the circumstances;
I’m seated with Christ in heavenly places. My Father is God.
There is no weapon formed against me that can prosper. I’m born again from above, a new creation;
I am a partaker of the Divine nature.”

Everything I answered came directly from God’s word and represents the
reality granted me by faith in God’s promises.
Faith unlocks the power of God’s promises.
So, beloved friend, you are not under circumstances or “the weather,” or pressures or curses;
you are alive together with Christ (Col 2), and positioned in the shelter of God’s domain.
Yes, we face conflict, which God uses to perfect our character,
but He also “always leads us in triumph in Christ,
and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place” (2 Cor 2:14).

Beloved, if you are not using God’s word to define and shape your
spiritual identity, you will, in fact, be under circumstances and
clouded by the oppression that abides on the first Adam.
You may still be a Christian, but you will suffer from your identity crisis.
This is why Paul said, “put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created
in righteousness and holiness of the truth” (Eph 4: 24).
You must accept, believe, and then apply the word of God until you are
fully established as a new creation.

“Those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the
image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren”
(Rom 8:29).

This quest to walk in your new nature is the crux of your primary battles in life.
This is not just a war between your virtue and your vices.
No, it is a war between your identity after the flesh and your true identity as a new creature in Christ.
“Faith,” John tells us, “is the victory that overcomes the world” (1 John 5:4).
You are a citizen of a new realm. As such, you must learn the customs and understand the language.
In the kingdom of God, everyone believes what God says about them.
When God speaks, His words create realities. Our faith accepts the grace and truth of God´s word and,
in so doing, our lives are transformed.

Yes, we will still fail, but Christ is greater than our failings.
True, we will still err, but in all things God works good.
Indeed, we pass through hard experiences that God uses to conform us to the character of His Son
(see Phil 3:10),
yet He also brings us through such things so we can possess the power of Christ’s resurrection!

Consider Paul’s analysis of his personal journey:

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live,
but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God,
who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me” (Gal 2:20).

Again, he wrote:

“Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying,
yet our inner man is being renewed day by day” (2 Cor 4:16).

Let us ask ourselves, is our spiritual consciousness focused upon what is inwardly “decaying”
or are our hearts lifted to that which is “being renewed day by day”?
Are we living as mere men or as new creatures fashioned after the likeness of Christ?
Would you agree that it is time to get over your identity crisis?

Lord, forgive me for dwelling in the basement of my old nature rather than the penthouse of
Your love and promises.
You have chosen me to reveal Your life, You’ve given me Your Holy Spirit and
spoken to me through Your word.
I am Your child, born from above and destined to inherit Your glory.
I worship You, my Lord and King.
James 2:23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.

Frank Frangipane is confused himself.

Over a year ago, I read one of his articles on Susan Cummings´ website. Frank stated that Jesus had told him that while patients in the hospital were comatose, they were able to Repent and Come Unto HIM.

Frank is plain wrong about that.
He is also plain wrong about persons being able to be Born-Again (born from above, he says), and return to their Carnal-Self.

Frank does not Know that God cannot and will not Abide-With (that is Dwell Within), someone who has returned to their Carnal ways.

We are only Born-Again when we Surrender our life to God and receive HIS Victory Over Self.

No other way can Carnal-Self be defeated!

Those who have Been HIS, but return to their Carnal-ways, are alienated from HIM.

This is what The Time of Prodigals was about; Reunion With The Father.

Read John ch 17.
Think God is Alive within sinners?
Think God is Guiding a sinner in his/her thoughts, words, and deeds?

The crisis most Christians are going to face will result from their having taken God for granted and assuming that because they paid lip-service to Christ that HE Knows them.

Jesus Witnesses that HE will tell those persons, "...Depart from me you workers of iniquity; I Know you not!"

Iniquity = Self-will.

If God is not Guiding your life; you don´t have a Relationship With-HIM. This means you don´t KNOW HIM. If you would Be HIS, your problem is that you were unable to make your Leap of Faith and Surrender your life To HIM.

Sadly, not Knowing HIM does not stop the many Carnal-Christians out there from promulgating their false-witness. Frank F. wants God to do it his way. Frank just "knows" that God is not "so unfair" as to deny Communion with those who never Sought HIM before becoming comatose.

Self-will has more flavors than baskin-robbins.
Only by Giving HIM your life, will you come to see and realize what life is like when lived In-Accord With Christ Jesus and The Father.

Jesus says HIS Disciples will be together as one, and With-HIM as HE IS With The Father!!!

Think anyone who is trying to make God fit their preconceived notions is part of HIS togetherness?

Jesus IS Coming!!! Whether you KNOW, or not!

Just last week Lester you started a thread praying that the dead would hear the voice of Jesus.

In fact here is a quote from what you spoke:
**********************************************

Lester you posted on another thread you started.

<<<<<Heavenly Father,

I ask in Jesus´ Name that all those who have lived and died, or will die in the days ahead, everyone who ever took delight in hearing The Name of Jesus, Yashua Hamashiach, be able to Hear HIS Voice from their grave; and rise to firmly commit their soul to YOU.>>>>>>>
********************************************

Lester you have a disability in reading comprehension, so before you respond with your twisting of what others say, of which you have no purpose in the lord here anyways, because according to your personal prophetic ear, there is no grace available from God anymore, and the world is doomed to hell from now on.

So what is your purpose?

What if rose from the grave means Jesus rose from the spiritually dead and restored man to spiritual life? That way he terminated the Sins(spiritually dead religions of mankind) and created spiritual man?

You can believe what you want, or you can believe what the Scriptures say...That´s your choice.

The Scriptures clearly state that Jesus rose from the dead physically in His same earthly body, went to the Father and became given a glorified body.

Re: Christian Identity Crisis
Did I criticize you Foggy?
Did I say; "So called friend of God shows his alienation and ignorance by endorsing or considering this article which is In Error"?

I did not.

You showed something on MacRobin´s "dream" thread a day or two ago. You actually said something about dreams should be Witnessed (capital w Witness, means Revealed/Quickened/"Given" or Proven By God).
This is a true statement.

Scripture does Witness that the dead who Hear HIS Voice will rise. I KNOW this will happen in my lifetime.

My Prayer was that every person who ever Loved HIM, would Hear.

Not witnessing "false doctrine", foggy.
Asking, Pleading, Begging The Father; that everyone who ever Loved Christ Jesus will Hear.
I would have Father´s Harvest include every person whose heart HE Called.

The Harvest of The Living is complete.
This is my witness.
We who are HIS are now either HIS or we are not. We are either Surrendered Unto HIM, Reunited with HIM if we were alienated from HIM; or we are apart from HIM.

Those who Love Jesus are not "condemned". But neither are they In-HIM together as one, and sharing Life as HE IS With The Father.

The Lamb´s Book of Life has closed.
Those Prodigals who did not Reunion With Father are being or have had their names "blotted out".
The Time of Prodigals was closed with the sunset of Yom Kippur.
The Time of Grace was closed on before Pentecost.
The Strait Gate was closed in April `04.

The only way anyone could Come To God has been by manifesting their Faith.

In only a few more "heartbeats", no person on earth will need Faith. Once Rev 14:7 has occured; All will KNOW God IS real!

No Leap of Faith, foggy, to Surrender Unto HIM, if you KNOW HE IS Real!

Frank Frangipane wrote that comatose patients in hospital were able to somehow Come To God.
This is simply a Self-willed lie. Why would FF lie? Maybe for comfort.

Many Christians who write "words" and articles do this. The Holy Spirit has Shown me this; Given me HIS Witness that they "lie". They embellish upon what they have been Given, they attribute their personal (and error-filled) interpretation of a parable to Jesus, or they say things they think will bring people To HIM but lie because they think a white-lie is needed to "do the higher work".

This is like Jerry Golden, in May 04. He wrote a great account, a word, dream, or vision; this stirred my heart as very True. Then at the end Golden says, "HIS Harvest at the last moment will be huge". The Witness I received immediately registered Golden´s remarks there as false.

Before your remark to Robin, I saw one (1) essential witness from you about how The Holy Spirit works in us. You were kind of conjecturing, guessing.

Well, someone who can´t Love Christ enough to even identify himself as "Christian", is only a wannabe anyhow.

You have a nice day.

No accident that a deceived and deceiving entity would come onto this thread with two long posts and attempt to resist and refute the simple scriptural truth of Francis Frangipane´s article.

This entity forever regurgitates verbatim his own doctrine ... calling it "witness." The only problem with his self-referencing "witness" is that it contradicts the scripture, and has nothing to back it up other than the entity´s own insistent repetition of it. Any inner witness that blatantly contradicts the witness of scripture is false.

Uh, no its in every gospel account.

Matthew 28:5-7

5The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ´He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.´ Now I have told you."

Acts 2:30-32

30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

31 Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay.

32 God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact.

Acts 13

32 And we declare to you glad tidings—that promise which was made to the fathers.

33 God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm:

‘ You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.’

34 And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He has spoken thus:

‘ I will give you the sure mercies of David.’

35 Therefore He also says in another Psalm:

‘ You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption.’

36 “For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption;

37 but He whom God raised up saw no corruption.

38 Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins;

39 and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

The difference from me and other Christians is that I spiritually "see" Jesus, experienced the second coming of Jesus in my life, and preach the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand right now.

Others are still looking for something. It is because they are looking physically. You have to look spiritually. The spiritual understanding of the Feasts of the LORD put you at that spiritual second coming and 7th Day of spiritual rest at one with Jesus.

23 At that time if anyone says to you, ´Look, here is the Christ!´ or, ´There he is!´ do not believe it.

24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible.

25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

26 "So if anyone tells you, ´There he is, out in the desert,´ do not go out; or, ´Here he is, in the inner rooms,´ do not believe it.

27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

29 "Immediately after the distress of those days
" ´the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.´

30 "At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.

31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

This is partly true. This is just about being able to negate the ego in order to fully see the Divine. Surrendering to the God-Mind and self-realization is part of this process. Belief and dogma has little to do with true liberation.

Frankie F. is a good-hearted but Self-willed person. He is deluded, much like the author of this thread and his cohort 344.

Now, if someone calling him/her self "Spirit Of Truth" says he/she has no witness that Christ arose from the dead in the Flesh; then boyz, there is your "entity".

The Spirit of Truth is The Holy Ghost.
Does HE Witness to you?

If HE did, foggy; you would recognize HIM in others. You once hypothesized this, back in May; but never witnessed or stated you Knew it to be True.

Saying that I objected to The Scriptures presented in Frangipane´s article is Extremely Disingenuous of you foggy.

You guys worship at the altar of Self-will, proving your alienation.

We cannot come to KNOW God, by 2nd Timothy 2:15 "study". Although 344 will heartily object, if he Knew HIM, 344 would understand and agree.

God does not "come to us", and give us "no choice but to accept HIM by proving HIS Strength"; as 803 said happened to him.

When we Surrender To The Father, we do so from our Innate Knowledge that we cannot continue to live unless we do so. Until we arrive at that Inner Conviction that we can´t live any longer without giving our lives to God; we have never been IN HIS PRESENCE; much less KNOWN HIM.

Self-willed efforts to serve God, are failed.
We cannot KNOW God´s Will unless we come into Accord With HIM. This happens when we Surrender, Receive HIS Regeneration which reveals the horror of Self-will and gives HIS Victory over S-w. We can Never replace S-w on our own, yet, most spend their lives trying; never able to Trust God and Surrender.

Self-will for "good" is not "good" because it is alienated from God.

God´s will is not for us to judge or agree with; only to be In Accord With and Perform.

Fankie F. does not Know this.
Neither do 344/803.

But, why let alienation from God ruin your saturday?

SOT has a thread about "anti-Christ Jews".

I replied there that the only anti-Christs are those who give false-witness and thereby oppose HIS Will. Their false-witness is often well-intended, like Fank F´s about comatose conversion; but still false.

Unless you KNOW HIS Voice, Touch and Scent
You don´t have a clue. Can´t even "buy a vowel" to solve the puzzle. Too Late!

Too Late to Abide In-HIM, With-HIM and Through-HIM; but not too late to understand you are not condemned and will live and be able to Come Unto HIM later.

This is the article which was Witnessed to me to be false. That FF writes it came to him by dream and that he never says he prayed for God´s Guidance and Understanding of the dream is self-admitted here; FF would have said if he did.

FF is a prolific and published writer on Christian topics. If he pursues his own Self-willed delusions as he outlines here, he is anti-Christ.

THE SILENT HARVEST
Francis Frangipane

Recently, I had a dream in which I found myself inside the mind of a dying man. The man had been in a coma or drug induced unconsciousness for some time; his family had been praying, but they did not know whether or not he had accepted Christ´s sacrifice. All they were sure of is that, throughout his life, he had resisted their efforts to lead him to Christ.

In the dream, I became so acutely aware of the man´s state of mind that his thoughts, feelings and struggles almost seemed my own. Although his eyes were nearly closed and his vision clouded, through a break in this visual fog he saw his loved ones at his beside. I watched as he tried to reach toward his family, but outwardly his arm never lifted. Inwardly, I heard him speak their names, but no sound whispered through his lips. A loved one held his hand and asked, "If you hear me, squeeze." He heard and pressed his fingers tight against hers, but to the eyes of all his hand clearly remained limp. He was conscious, but perfectly incapable of responding. He could hear their prayers; he felt the wet warmth of their kisses on his face.

The pride and isolation that had, throughout his life, stood as guards over his heart were gone. A physical catastrophe had overtaken him. Death approached and he knew he was unprepared for eternity. Submerged beneath his placid exterior, a war had raged for his soul and God had won. Subdued by the relentlessness of God´s love, he was finally at peace. During his time in the hospital he had silently prayed and accepted Christ as his Savior. I was watching his last effort to tell them as life ebbed out of his body.

Suddenly, the alarms of hospital monitors filled the air and I now found myself in the room looking down at the lifeless body of a man who had just died. The room was buzzing with nurses, while his family huddled in a corner, grieving. The idea of their loved one dying without receiving Christ was more devastating than the reality of death itself. In my sleep, I stirred and, as I woke, I heard the Lord speak to my heart, "Tell them he is with Me."

God is Good
A couple days have passed since I had this dream. During this time, as I pray, I am increasingly aware that there are many of God´s people who have been carrying a deep and troubling heartache about the passing of an unsaved loved one. Obviously, this dream does not apply to all, but there are some for whom this experience is divinely directed. I submit it to you in a general sense, because the Holy Spirit has assured me He will bear witness to your heart.

I have also felt an urgency to pass this dream to you. I am convinced that the Lord has an important work for you, yet the enemy has used the questions about this event to sow doubt into your soul, not only about your deceased loved one, but doubts also about God Himself and the power and gift of prayer. As a result, your confidence in looking to God has diminished, and this is at a time when it is vital for you to stand for other members of your family.

Finally, even with all the questions and mysteries of life, we must not let the unknown obscure the face of the known. God is good. I only know the nature of God by looking at one reality: the life of Christ. I know God loves me because He sent His Son to die for my sins. Indeed, Jesus said, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father" (Jn 14:8). When we look at Christ, we see God.

Some of us have lost loved ones in sudden tragedies, where they had apparently no time to repent and turn to God. Yet, let me remind you that many people who have had near death experiences, tell of seeing their "whole life flash before [their] eyes." Others who were in accidents tell of "time slowing down" and the movement of life almost stopping. I believe that, even in what seems like a "sudden" death, time itself accordioned out: it stretched and slowed until that person entered a different realm of time. There, they saw the highlights and shortcomings of their lives and again had an opportunity to accept Jesus Christ.

Beloved, in spite of what we do not know about the mysteries of life, this one thing remains eternally true: God is good. He does not desire that any man perish and He will fight to save us to the moment of death. Indeed, He promises His light would find and even shine upon those "in darkness and the shadow of death" (Lk 1:79). Let us, therefore, cast our burdens upon the Lord, for He truly cares for us. And let us again run with endurance the race set before us, for He who has promised is faithful.

Lord Jesus, thank you for dying for my sins. Lord, there are many issues I do not know, but I do know that You are good. Those things I do not understand, I give to You, trusting You with myself and those I love.

Re: Christian Identity Crisis
Whoever manifested to you, 803, and made you cry, "Uncle!", was not Christ Jesus, The Father, or The Holy Spirit.

I give the witness I am Given.

It is not I who cannot call myself Christian.
If you cannot identify yourself with God´s Banner to the world; then plainly you are not Of-HIM. I got that Witness from The Holy Spirit months before I encountered you here. Over a year ago, actually.

Why you participate in Christian topics, since you will not identify yourself as one, reveals your bias.

Funny, how you have no objection to the many who like so-called "spirit of truth", claim to be HIS but don´t proclaim HIM to be God or even know HE was Resurected and manifested HIS Wounds.

You think about God based on your own Self.
You have no experience With HIM or witness to share, so you do not. Just objection and conjecture.

Frank F. wrote this to comfort someone who loved a dead relative that never accepted Jesus.

That relative was never Given the matt 16:18 "Rock"; if the dead person was given Knowledge of Who Jesus IS; they rejected HIM!

Jesus is not changing The Gospel to make those living in Self-pity feel any better. But, men/women who don´t understand Self-will will do this. They do not Abide With God because they never Gave HIM their lives.

False-witness is lying. False witness about God is anti-Christ and proves alienation from HIM.

Things are very plain and open these days.
The lines are drawn.
In-HIM, or without.

Jesus is God in the flesh. Jesus is the Christ. So what are you lying for?

Re: Christian Identity Crisis
Revelation 22:20-22

20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.”
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

There you go, the last passage spoken
in the Scripture. Do you see that there is no
grace available? Only a heretic would make
such a claim against the final words spoken
by Christ in His Word.
Yet Lester you make false witness to this fact that Christ´s has ended His grace to the world.
Yet Christ says
Let His grace be with us all. So don´t try and
deceive with your false witness against
God´s written word.
James 2:23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.
