Think the rubbish collection's bad where you live? Residents' fury at mound that can be seen A MILE away
Its a problem that has left neighbours rather down in the dumps.

Waste at this urban rubbish tip has grown so tall that it is towering over a nearby housing estate even dwarfing a four-storey block of flats.

Residents say the eyesore, made up of household waste, industrial refuse and rubble, is a health hazard and is covering their homes in black dust.
Ironically, the offending tip is run by a company aiming to benefit the environment. Refuse Derived Fuel Ltd shreds and dries combustible solid waste and turns it into fuel, reducing the amount going to landfill.

All this could have bean put through one of those industrial shredders, and reduced to small particles. particles would break down in 100th the time, instead of whole.

9teen Typical English reluctance to make a fuss. So what happens you get walked all over. They should block all incoming rubbish trucks and refuse to pay Council taxes. But no...nothing will happen as usual.
