They just dont lean on it as a crutch.

Looking at it from their perspective even, it is counter-productive.
How are you going to combat racism if you signal out one group as being ignorant, privileged and/or the inherent oppressors?
It will only add fuel to the fire and enforce racism as it will cause white people who feel attacked by this to adopt a more aggressive attitude towards blacks in reaction to it.

Well, that's true. That is not what I took from your comment. I misunderstood that. My apologies.

I actually agreed with what I thought you meant and tried to substantiate that because that specific sentence I quoted is true.

My point remains valid nonetheless. Education on multiculturalism or racism is unnecessary in more diverse societies as they are much more adjusted to the situation, much more tolerant towards each other.

Racism is usually found exactly there where foreigners are the minority. So these types of billboards (even though I don't agree with the approach) would be more appropriate especially there where foreigners are the minority and not being accepted.

Overall, I don't think there is anything wrong with confronting ignorant people.

And to comment on your last comment. You would be able to move anywhere you like on this planet if you wanted to, except for Africa at this point, simply because it is highly unstable. Asia is not for Asians only, neither does this apply to America (north and south), the Middle East, or any other place. Emigrants choose Europe for geographical and economic reasons.

Duluth is 90% white - does the city have that much problem with racism? Are the white really somehow mistreating the blacks in some way and causing a problem like the mayor suggested? I haven't spent a lot of time there so I would like the opinion of someone who lives in Duluth. Thanks

The fact is that the cry of racism is losing it's teeth. It used to be that when someone said racism, people's head turned and they paid attention.
Not so anymore. It's become so played out and thrown around in every argument by liberals and minorities that instead of heads turning, eyes are rolling.

It's backfiring and it's about damn time too. The only thing it is doing now is beginning a feeling of mass resentment towards minorities who use the word constantly and a lot of white people are rightfully starting to call bullshit and end the conversation with a much deserved stfu.

All white people are racist ? Try this in a city overrun by gangs, where white people are a minority, like for example, San Jose CA....Asian, Hispanic, Whites.

i think that's natural. People in cities have much more distractions and are busier with running their own lives to care about everyone else who is doing the same in the same city. Too many people. In the more rural areas, they still know their neighbors. The biggest reason why people enjoy rural areas is the sense of community. The small town people are more aware of the changes to their environment. That could be why they seem more racist. Maybe they are just more protective. It could be that they see what happens in the cities and want to part of it to spread to their small community. I think personally think multiculturalism and a lot of liberalism is being used to destroy the once-powerful white race, to give everyone an equal opportunity to be a slave. Our communities are of no concern. I used to be against racism, now I think its to the point where the pendulum must swing back the other way a bit so that society can find a balance. If people want to be racist, then I don't care. If someone wants to call me a cracker, I don't care. I will no longer stand up for the weak because they've been too many have been given too much and think they've earned it.
