Those are under special circumstances, such as divorce based on convenience. Divorced based on infidelity, abused and abandonement is a whole different story.

I don't think the verses conveys differing and unusual circumstances. Some people do take it literally and as a whole. Which is why, you gotta be wise in order to understand it. In your case however, it is for your wife. But not you.

This verse does not explain unusual circumstances. The verse above just conveys one of the general precepts, based on convenience.
