You said that you want to believe in something. You can choose whatever diety you want. If you truly believe in your diety then you will always follow in its tenets. I see that you believe in science, so lets look at some scientific laws.

Would you say that the energy that powers your brain is energy? If that is so when your body dies it has to go somewhere. All energy has a wavelength (identity) I guess that would provide some proof that you have a soul.

Re: Please pray for my brother, I will pray for you back.
Religious error does not negate the power of the living Creator God. There is power in prayer. God is all powerful, all knowing, all present. And He does answer prayers. Sometimes His answer is no. Sometimes, it's later. It's always according to His will. The best way for anyone to grasp the meaning and effectiveness of prayer is to be a Berean and search it out. God has given us a Book of instructions. If a person really wants to access His power so that this live is manageable, then they need to seek Him, pray and study His Word. The more you study it, the more you see Jesus from the first verse in the bible to the last. When a heart is genuinely yielded to Him, He does answer our prayers, and He guides us through this life.

I understand. BUT, all you can do is tell them two maybe three times. If they don't want to hear it, then that's on them. You did all you could. Believe me, I know...it IS frustrating when you give a shit about someone enough to try, but all they do is mock.
So have I now become your enemy for telling you the TRUTH? Galatians 4:16

oooookaaayy,
a little over the top, but a valid point. most people get turned off when you take a wet washrag and slap them across the face with it. The evangelical approach is often not the best one. Get to know your subject a little. Find out about their beliefs, their views, and their values before you club them.

Re: Please pray for my brother, I will pray for you back.
Hi OP,

Prayer really works when there is faith to back it up. Just two weeks ago, my daughter's best friend's mom, was given a grave diagnosis.

The woman is only in her 50's with a history of COPD. She was also a heavy smoker as well. She contracted the flu which , we thought at first had turned into pneumonia.

After testing, she was given the diagnosis of ARDS. Highly deadly and far worse than pneumonia. She was in ICU with a respirator and medically induced coma.

This news was devastating as she is a divorced mom with one child. I gave much prayer asked guidance from the Lord as to His will.

I went to her bedside and pleaded for her healing and restoration and stood in the 'gap' for her ,as she was unconscious. I prayed to the Father in the name and authority of His Son, Jesus. I surrendered it there and believed that we would see results.

Her fever came down the next day. Days later she was taken off the ventilator. Two days ago she got out of bed. And now is out of ICU and in a regular room.

This was done by faith in Christ and the belief in using the word that we have been given. We had much prayer by concerned Christians as well. We dedicate our prayers for the good of others.

When we call things completed that do not appear to be...That is faith in action!hf

Re: Please pray for my brother, I will pray for you back.
The problem is that all that comes here that discount God as real has a choice. They don't have to even open this thread up. They must be curious about the truth otherwise they would not stay. I bet that most do believe that God is real and pray to him often but just don't wants to not be seen as a religious person.

The unbeliever always ask for proof that God is real. Well just like in a court of law it is up to the prosecutor to present the eveidence to prove guilt. It is up to the non-believer to provide the proof that God is not real.

There will be a day when all will be judge no matter where you stand. I know where I stand and what I believe. I will forever walk in the grace of God and have eternal life.

May God bless all.

The spirit is real. It does not matter what relegion you practice or observe. If you practice christianity then christ heals your ills. if you practice islam then allah heals your ills. if you practice scientology, then the whatever conquers your ills, it doesn't matter what or who you worship as long as you believe in spirituality. The human spirit is real. Do you really want to believe that when you die, what and who you are dies with you? That is a complete contradiction of the law of conservation of energy. You are a very unique and special person ( energy identity) you will not simply dissappear.
