Quoting: Nexus-9 Saudi Arabia is also engaged in back channel discussions and paying off Muslim/Arab factions to stand down and sit out an Israeli attack against Iran I estimate anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks from now, no later than early summer this will all happen [link to openchannel.msnbc.msn.com] U.S. officials believe that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates would support the attacks because of the threat Iran poses to them. The Saudis and Emiratis, both of which have Sunni controlled governments, have repeatedly lobbied the U.S. to bomb the Iranian nuclear facilities, preferring a U.S. attack to an Israeli one. But because both are desperate to have someone take out the Iranian program, they also have shared information with the Israelis. If Israel did decide to attack, it’s likely Israeli jets would overfly Saudi territory and would even be allowed to perform aerial refueling. An attack would take at least two midair refueling. As for Turkey, it may not participate at the same level as the Sunni Arab Gulf states, but it is watching Iran closely. The U.S. fears Turkey would consider a nuclear weapons program if Iran obtained them and could develop nuclear weapons much more quickly than either Saudi Arabia or the UAE. why are US officials and Panetta opening their big mouths? Israel is you can hear me stop talking to the Muslim President of the United Islam States. |

Both Democrats and Republicans will then openly comment and support Israeli actions to defend itself. The Republican nominee and the President will agree to Israel's action, but they want to insure the public is given advance notice and will support Israel before they go on a limb. It will also condition the American public to accept the cost of gas going as high as $6 per gallon (sorry...hate to be the bearer of bad news there) Last Edited by Nexus-9 on 02/02/2012 11:53 PM "Fiery the Angels rose, & as they rose deep thunder roll'd Around their shores: indignant burning with the fires of Orc" - William Blake, America a Prophecy (...also misquoted in Blade Runner by Roy Batty) "Tempus est optimus iudex" - "Time is the best judge" "The very word "'secrecy'" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings." - John F.
