Paraphrasing, the article says that they either found something amazing and are covering it up, or its a catastrophe that coincidentally have catastrophe right when they make worldwide news about unearthing a polar ocean that hasnt seen light in 20 MILLION YEARS.

and i would certainly consider this "Breaking News" so long as there is uncertainty regarding their progress and their condition... you know until we can verify these brave folks are alive still?

First thought when reading this earlier today was a gov't imposed media blackout. Possible military intervention/cover up.

For sure this reeks of a casual "nothing to see here" type of lackluster media reporting.
I mean really does anybody expect this to be on front page tomorrow?

Pretty sure that after a day of silence, at such an important event, a fly over would be in order by either plane or satellite. I'm sticking with media blackout in order for gov't/military agencies to run their tests before official findings are released to the public.

The story coming out yesterday about being close to penetrating down to the water below was after 3ish days of no radio contact. Probably checking in at least twice a day being in the middle of a civilizationless continent at bottom of world...

That by itself implicates something fishy is going on and we'll need some credible sources to feed pieces of real information for us to ponder....
