Hey, The 13th zodiac sign was created when the Chilean earthquake happend because the earth shifted off its axis. So, someone came up with the 13th sign to fit. Thats what I heard..

In 2005, astronomers using data from the Green Bank Telescope discovered a superbubble so large that it extends beyond the plane of the galaxy. It is called the Ophiuchus Superbubble.
In April 2007, astronomers announced that the Swedish-built Odin satellite had made the first detection of clouds of molecular oxygen in space, following observations in the constellation Ophiuchus. [ link to en.wikipedia.org] Supernova 1604, also known as Kepler's Supernova, Kepler's Nova or Kepler's Star, was a supernova that occurred in the Milky Way, in the constellation Ophiuchus. As of September 2011, it is the last supernova to have been unquestionably observed in our own galaxy, occurring no farther than 6 kiloparsecs or about 20,000 light-years from Earth. Visible to the naked eye, it was brighter at its peak than any other star in the night sky, and all the planets (other than Venus), with apparent magnitude −2.5. It was visible during the day for over three weeks.
[ link to en.wikipedia.org] Looks like there's many interesting things to observe in the direction of this constellation. These celestial events and others are the basis of so many myths. If we can understand the cause of the myths and legends, we can finally be able to understand what ancient people meant with the stories they wrote. But now we can understand them in a way that we study and observe these events. Dr. Anthony Perrat is one of those scientists who has made the link between plasma lab experiments and petroyglyphs. And I'm certain there are many more works of "art" and stories which all have a basis in reality and celestial events we have not yet encountered in our modern world.
