NO. If someone asks you to make them chamomile tea etc you would be fined under the legislation (if/when approved), unless you had a license granting you the right to produce or sell it.

A poster above said that we have these laws in Canada and the USA but they are not enforcing them yet.

Actually they have been selectively enforcing these laws whenever an herb competes with a new product from the drug cartels.

The store here in Canada still sells raw ginger. I slice up a bit very fine and boil it to make my own tea. It is so much better than the silly stuff in the tea bags. Also, about 15 years ago here, I used to make and sell my own colloidal silver in the local health food stores. That was in 1996. It is a different world today. My product sold for $20 for a 16-oz. bottle. You know the major brands, even back then, wanted $40 for a 6-oz. bottle. I still make it for myself to prevent colds, flu, bacterial or viral infections. Maybe I'll end up in prison. I'm already broke.

some people grow cannabis and make oil to give away to sick/dying friends/family and if they get caught can say they were not selling it and are not criminals but just wanted to help someone to ease their suffering and if its a first offence will likely get off. but with new bill you cannot say that without incriminating yourself. its not about cacomile tea people. (just my opinion)

I ve heard that the elite use small countries and small groups to see how they will react to certain plans. They are using New Zealand to see what their reaction will be. If they don't revolt then they know that they can implement similar restrictions at a similar rate. All of their plans eventually will be implemented it's just a matter of them figuring out at what rate they can do it without people realizing it and revolting.

The then Labour Health Minister Annette King, in tandem with Medsafe (the pharmaceutical medicines regulator), tried to push through a regulatory system for natural health products that would have been under a heavy handed Australian-led pharmaceutical model and administered in Canberra with the loss of New Zealand sovereignty. This was against the advice of the cross-party Health Select Committee and against thousands of submissions from consumers, the natural health industry and professional bodies. It would most certainly have wiped out our small but thriving traditional herbal manufactures as experienced in Australia, and many tried and trusted natural health products used by generations of Kiwis would have been regulated out of existence.

In the end, there was enough discontent that the legislation lacked the numbers to be passed.

Looking back it is astounding how the Ministry of Health could spend millions of precious health dollars developing the binational regulatory system as set out in the Therapeutic Products and Medicines Bill 2006, without first working on a comprehensive New Zealand Medicines Strategy that included the wishes of more than half of New Zealanders to incorporate natural healthcare strategies. (For an overview of figures of prevalence of natural health care in New Zealand refer to my article ‘Children’s health: proven natural treatment strategies’, Organic NZ May/June 2011, pp. 28–29.) A thorough strategy that included professions outside the dominant medical and pharmaceutical industry would also have illuminated the contributions and health dollar savings that modalities like herbal medicine contribute to achieving the goals of better health standards in New Zealand as set out in the New Zealand Health Strategy 2000."

Someone put out this theory at least twenty years ago - I remember one of his points was our (Oz) new parliament house building. Not only is it built like a bunker but is HUGE, far bigger than we need for this little country.
I feel almost guilty at how much safer Oz is than most countries these days - yup, makes perfect sense to me that "they" are saving us to be a future refuge for the PTB.
