Event Into Space - Large Ball Of Light And BOOM Over South Carolina
[link to hisz.rsoe.hu]

"On what is typically the most quiet night of the week for emergency responders, Spartanburg County 911 phone lines lit up with reports of a loud boom and bright ball of light over the Upstate early Monday. Dispatcher Scott Francis said 30 to 35 calls to 911 were received, the first one coming in at 1:49 a.m. And that’s not counting the calls that came in on the non-emergency line about the mysterious ball of fire. A scientist at the Roper Mountain Science Center said it’s likely a meteor exploded over the Upstate early Monday morning, explaining the loud boom and bright light that residents reported seeing from Greenville to Cherokee counties."

"St. Lucas said because eyewitnesses reported a blue-white light, that indicates the meteor was composed of copper or copper chloride, most likely naturally occurring and not “space junk.”"

"Dr. Charles St. Lucas, a physicist and chair of Roper Mountain Science Center’s department of astronomy, said the phenomenon was a bolide meteor, which was seen at about 1:45 a.m. “When it explodes, it creates a beautiful fireball,”"

Apparently South Carolina is experiencing more of these strange booms that some other places. Here is a thread on a similar event from September 30, 2011

I remember hearing those long rumbling sounds. I heard them for 3 months, they were louder at night. I could also feel like the ground was vibrating.

I thought I was going crazy, no one else seemed to be hearing them. Then, finally I saw it on the news about other people hearing the rumbling and booms.

And yes, South Carolina has a major fault line/zone.

They are know as The Middleton Place-Summerville Seismic Zone and the Woodstock Fault, whose center lies about twenty-two miles northwest of Charleston S.C.

I live in the upstate and I have been hearing low frequency vibrations in the air from time to time. I made a couple of videos back in July but one video I had up on you tube showing my dog's reaction is gone now. I don't remember deleting it but it was just my dogs and how they reacted to the humming from the sky. One video is later that same day but at night. The vibration is noticeable on it but nothing but darkness from the night sky. In September I bought a much better video camera so I could start making videos of what I see that seems different. I video quite a few different colored blinking "stars" on occasion. They are only out some nights. Some clear nights they are not seen. It makes me wonder what that is and how it changes so many colors in a blink of an eye.

Around 1:00am on 2/13/12 I saw a few blinking lights outside my house but way up in the sky. I had to zoom in and even turn on the night vision option to film them. One main object that would blink a bright white just like the appearance of the Sun but not near as big and then go fade away and a few other bright smaller objects popping in and out. Times are getting exciting. Do you ever video the sights you see? It would be nice to see what other members put together. I don't know what any of this is but it is new and different.

Peace to all

Peace to you

I would say there may be something else going on. If I remember right...according to David Barton from Wall Builders said that the U.S. government is building secret underground bases in several states and South Carolina was one of them. Perhaps the rumbling was underground work? It couldn't be this "rare" meteorite so many times, correct?

That's interesting. I haven't heard any thing about them building secret underground bases in this state, but I just moved back here about four years ago.

I have read about this being done in North Carolina.

No, I don't think anyone can call this "rare" if it's happening this often.

My daughter and I witnessed something unexplainable a couple years ago in California. There was no real sound associated with it...but if a mass of people had seen it there's no telling what kind of theories that may have come out of it.
