Great... Who gives a fuck about Virginia?

The state of Virginia will comply with the NDAA. The tools at the disposal of the federal government are many and effective. Perhaps the state of Virgina would like to lose its federal highway funds...or suffer a big reduction in its social welfare allocations...perhaps the closing of a military base or two....
Oh yes, Virginia will comply.

There is no federal overstretch. Virginians hold on to relics of a bygone era. The state of Virginia will comply with all dictates issued by the United States Government. I do not believe that the good people of Virgina are willing to pick a fight with the USG.

I put a 5* on this thread. I will be watching this one with great interest. I don't believe that Virginia holds a large contingent of cargo cult supporters but I may be wrong. A lot of federal money flows through that state and its hard to accept that people would bite the hand that feeds it.

Well since some of us live in Virginia, it's a nice gesture, though it still will not stop the FEDS from doing as they please. If you are ever heard from again, GL trying to sue the local SWAT team for cooperating with the FEDS.

This is wisdom and reality. The anachronistic tendencies of the Virginia legislature are irrelevant. The FEDERAL GOVERNMENT runs the show and no state can opt out now.

I would like to inform some folks on a few things here.Virginia is a very moderate state,but we have produced some of the greatest generals this country has ever known.We have a large manufacturing base,lots of farms,and ports with access to the atlantic.We have alot of military here and alot of patriots,make no mistake virginia is one of the most powerfull states in the union.That being said I hope everything turns out ok.As I typed though dont mistake it virginia has some real hard chargers here,and a huge military popuation especially if you include the veterans .We tend to be self sufficient,dependable,and grounded in reality.So I personally think the federal goverment will respect our legislation.Thank You for reading and have a great day.

GO VIRGINIA! If Big Brother decides to kick ass at least this state is standing up for its people. Let's hope it's the start of a domino effect and that other states will also nullify NDAA. There is power in numbers and our elected DC officials cherish their jobs. If they see those threatened, they may fall in line. It's probably the only thing that will make them see the light because they don't give a good damn about their constituents.

I am dubious...I find it difficult to imagine the USG in a defensive position regarding this repugnant stance adopted by the state legislature.

The USG should immediately pull Federal Highway Funds from the state of Virginia in retaliation for the passage of this repugnant rebuttal of the NDAA.

As a veteran who has served in combat for this country I find it offensive that ndaa 2012 s passed as do many other veterans,and active duty military.You know how the old saying goes,you should listen to the men with the big guns!

The next step should be the relocation of one military base to a state that is more cooperative with the goals and ideals of the Federal Government.

Now the politicians have a safe haven next to D.C.

The Federal Government should respond with its own version of the big guns. Active duty personnel and veterans are not immune from the dictates of the US Government. Compliance is expected and those unwilling to comply will be coerced.

The US Constitution is no longer relevant. The tools at the disposal of the Federal Government are significant. Hard to imagine "daddy's shotgun" militia putting up much of a fight. Doesn't have to trend towards that outcome. There is plenty of room for those who wish to comply. There is even room for you "hero"....why not bring your CIB onboard for the big win?
