Dude kills,mutilates 5 pet rabbits; blames vodka and weed

Yeah, this is from summer 2010, but worth posting:

NORTH ADAMS [Massachusetts] – Innocent pleas for Wayne P. Brackett Jr., charged with mutilating and killing five pet rabbits at an Ashland Street construction businesses...

Brackett, 23, of East Main Street, faces five felony counts of animal cruelty and five felony counts of killing, maiming or poisoning an animal, among other charges.

Brackett, according to the Transcript, told police he did not remember killing the rabbits. He said he had been drinking vodka heavily and had smoked marijuana last Tuesday night, when the rabbits were killed, and believes he blacked out.

*He was sentenced to 4 years in state prison, Sept. 2010.
