I'm a former Athiest turned Spiritual this year. I have accepted Jesus as my savior but Not as my lord.

That's awesome. Is there a reason for not accepting Jesus as your Lord? I'm just curious.

I dunno, its just the way Christians portray him.

I used to ask them "well what about muslims, buddist, and other religions that pray to god?"

Alot of them would say "They haven't accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior, so they are damned to hell."

And I would be like, "well god sent Jesus to deliver a message and god also said you will worship no other idols before me."

they would tell me "Jesus WAS the one and only god incarnate in the flesh" so it was ok to worship Jesus."

For some reason all my life that just felt wrong.

I know it's none of my business Swede-Dude but,the reason why ANYONE would deny Jesus Christ to be their Lord is because they are NOT ready to GIVE UP being their OWN lord themselves!

I'm sorry to say that our "Halfway-there friend" has not received salvation.....BUT I am very GLAD to say that all he has to do is submit to God in humility (no easy thing if the one concerned will not give EVERYTHING up INCLUDING his own Lordship!) and ALLOW Jesus to be HIS LORD and HE Jesus' servant.....

Please do this good friend before it's too late.

Sweet "Lord" y'all got there! Why does your god possess the absolute WORST traits of humanity? Why do you think it's OK to worship him even though he's evil?

I already have. Just as you said. It started on a mushroom trip. I looked at a cross and suddenly I thought something that I never would think in a million years. I was looking at that cross and thought, "if I dont stop denying god, mocking and blaphemying his name I'm going to hell". It was that exact thought. Then I felt something, something I never felt before.. I felt loved. But my total submitance wouldn't come till later.

I was laying in my bed July '11 piss at the world. Pissed at how my life was going and ready to go back to being full blown athiest again and damning and cursing god...but something in my head stopped me, and then it just happened, I broke down crying and full of tears asked god to forgive me for all the wrong I have ever said against him, and I would never deny him again. That I needed his help because nothing I was doing was working. I couldn't do it on my own anymore.

And this I kid you not. The sun beamed through my window (it was a bit cloudy) and right onto my face. I felt the spirit of god and christ. It was like they are both intertwined, and I knew and felt everything was gonna be alright. It was the most amazing feeling I've ever had.

So you are wrong I'm not halfway there I'm all the way there. Yes I still question things but I will never step out of the light again.

For you Athiest, you can deny deny deny all you want. But he is real. Trust me on that. This is coming from someone who just a year and a half ago laughed my ass off at that "Jesus on a cross with the snickers bar slogan pic" (you'll have to google it).

I would seriously reconsider some of the shit ya'll say on here about god, jesus or whatever you call the heavenly father. Because there is no greater sin than to deny him. And as our scientist are learning, you create your own world through your actions and thoughts. So when you make that decision to deny the existence of god and stick with it You better be ready for the consequences. Because you, by your own free will decided to step out of the light and into the darkness. Unfortunately for you all that exist is by the light of god. So no your not going to burn in hell for eternity. Its gonna be much worse. You will simply cease to exist.

Mind if I ask you a few questions (besides this one)?

You are suffering from schizophrenia (or demonic possession) if you accept Jesus as your savior but not Lord!

The two can't comingle unless you are suffering from the above.

Out of love I gift to you my experiences. Jesus is deception. He is a "fallen angel" from the all energy being labeled as god. And acts as a gate keeper for god. This is ludacris. You are the gate keeper. U allow information and religious ideals close off your gate to asscension. Forgot all ideals. Know yourself and you can't lose. This also eliminates any need to look outside of u for information. Don't let fear into your life. Jesus was God incarnate, when it suited God to be Jesus, he was, sorta 'avatar' style. When it didn't suit him, he wasn't (ie when Jesus doubted) that's what the indwelling Holy Spirit thing means. He also said (paraphrase) 'Don't call me good, no-one is good but God'.

I don't see the 'Lord' thing as a big deal, If you believe then you believe.

Oh I sprang up with glee at this...I am saved but I still spring up like the first time I ever knew this every time I see it or hear it...my soul leaps up and down.

Yahweh is a righteous, holy judge, He has written the law upon our hearts, if you deny your conscience that tells you to do good you are denying God. All are without excuse, to those Christians that say those people go to hell, well I can tell you one thing, they are NOT God..
